Tea tree oil is the best! I used the essential oil and paired it with some lavender as well as water to create a "mist" in a little bottle and would spray it on the kids' backpacks and jackets every morning. It helped so much AND they loved the smell!!!
Your videos make me so so excited for teaching. I'm going to teach secondary schol (5th-13th grade) so a lot of the really artsy stuff won't be happening in my classroom (sadly) but I love how you're so motivating and really loving your job
Paul Mitchell has a wonderful Tea Tree Oil line. My third and fourth grader use the conditioner every time they shower and they have never had lice-- even though the pesky little bugs have made it into their classroom each year at some point-- or even multiple points! Extra tip--- purchase a huge bottle during the Ulta Hair Sale.
Two years ago I put tea tree oil in a defuser during the winter. If cut down of the spread of germs and I kid you not maybe only 2 kids got sick all winter. Last year I didn't do it and for a week I had only 7 kids and I got the flu 2x. Needless to say tea tree will be coming back this year.
So great to see you making videos :). I'm actually going in tomorrow to set up my room. I still have a couple of weeks before I start, but I love getting a head start , lol
Will you be doing a video on where you're teaching this year? (Not name of school, but details on what grade etc ) 😊 Just discovered your channel and am having a ball watching all your content!
Going to buy tea tree oil shampoo NOW! Every school I have been in has always had them.. so yes I need it lol. The DIY vinyl circles is a great idea! Thanks!
Highly recommend the tree oil!! I worked at a daycare for years and it seemed like someone always had it, especially during the winter. I would add a drop of tea tree oil to my shampoo when I washed my hair and never had a problem!
I love all your videos, and i'm volunteering in a fourth grade class room and using one of the tips you talk about in your videos which is to be positive and smile while I volunteer in the fourth grade class room.
For lice, you can also just buy tea tree oil and add it to your regular shampoo. I also recommend to buy an electronic lice comb (I know Walmart and most drug stores sell them). They zap the bugs dead - no need for chemicals in your hair
Vinyl usually removes very easily after a school year. I have used it on countless items in my classroom and have been able to peel it off at the end of the year. :)
Genius!! I never thought of using vinyl!!! I love that you can get more color choices.

I love your tips! I think I’m gonna have to splurge on that silhouette cameo for my first classroom!
Hannah Curtis this is my 5th year teaching, and I just bought one. It’s awesome!! I wish I had bought one a loooong time ago lol

Will the vinyl remove easily from the guided reading table? Or is it permanent?
