If you have your ringer volume on, and you have the shutter sound turned on, the phone will make a ding sound when you start and stop recording while using the S Pen button. So that's one way to know if you've stopped or started
From what I understand, you need to use the official usb-c to 3.5mm adapter from Samsung in order to make sound work properly (yep, marketing scam) But thank you for this great video!
Companies do this to ensure quality because of the extremely high quality settings they provide you in video modes. Not all aftermarket items are created equal.
Thank you for informative video. Question: I have created a movie with movie creation function but after saving the movie I found there is an Audio delay as compare to background music/sound. Is there any setting I need to adjust or something else? Appreciate your response. Thanks
It was definitely the route that you took to accomplish the goal. It will work but as you admitted you insisted on using dex. And also insisted on a somewhat apple route with apps operating systems towards Apple. I've been successful editing note videos using my pc. Comes down to the eco system. You really attempted to fit a square peg into a circular hole based upon 360 degrees. So not really giving the note a fair chance also a bad reputation at the same time. However, hopefully you didn't do it with the intention of putting android down to make Apple look better. Anyway I do appreciate the video. Because you took the time to make it. Also just the ability to share your particular passion with the world. As you already know I don't agree with the outcome but you have great talent that is superior to my own. I have learned from the content that you have posted in the past. This one also. Keep up the good work. You are very talented.
Yeah, I wasn't trying to put it down. It was just an experiment to see if I could make a full youtube video, start to finish in my style using the Note 20 only. Nothing more or less. Thanks for watching and giving feed back
No, it doesn't have log video exactly. In Pro Video Mode, it does have the ability to record in HDR10+. The built in video editor can export it as non-hdr10+ if you need to view it on an unsupported app or send it to someone else. Trying to view the HDR10+ on an unsupported app looks extremely flat like a log file.
Hi I just watched your video and I just wanted to say that I had problems with the dongle picking up microphones also and I found out that it has to be a Samsung dongle. I bought one and it did fix my problems
I have been using dex for 2 years, the rush app is in beta, not officially supported in the note, reason why it crashes so much. Use power director or kine master. As for shooting you videos, filmic pro shooting in log v2 is far better at dynamic range, however I found that the native app in pro with the 10 bit feature is the best eventhough it is shooting in natural. I use rhode mics, works wonderfully, you just need the right audio adapter. I mainly use my phone to shoot quick everyday social media content, then use my Canon for more professional videos.
Gr8 video. But I have to stongly disagree with 8K on the Note Ultra being worthless. It's just more difficult to work with. Watch what 8k on the Note Ultra can really do. I'd love to hear your thoughts. th-cam.com/video/SVP0vbmIPfw/w-d-xo.html
Wow, that was insightful I'm on the fence about getting a Note 20 Ultra vs an iPhone 12 Pro Max (soon to come out). You're pushing me towards the iPhone here.
Having come from pixel phones, I'm disappointed in the Samsung cameras. Their processing algorithm is too smooth and warm. Hardly any of my pictures look natural. I've used Android for the past 11 years, but I kind of wish I'd switched to iPhone for their video tools and almost universal comparability with things like Gimbals and Audio recorders. If they'd just use USB-C....
wow. I just checked on my end. I see the same thing. Adobe Premiere Rush is not supported on the Note 20 Ultra. I can't find it on the Play Store and if I go to it on the web version of the store, it says it isn't compatible with my phone anymore. I don't recall sideloading the app, but maybe I did. That'd explain why it failed so miserably.
I wonder how does youe phone does not get heated up. Cause mine does even if I use it for just 1 minute. I Wasted my money as note 20 ultra has heating issue.
Prime time. Well said. If I'm not prime time, just casual home movies or clips for social media. How about these apps on Dex? GoPro new editor or Quick? Insta 360 editor? Would love feedback if a willing person could test.
I'm not sure. It's been four years so my memory is vague. I'm just taking a guess that there isn't enough light so the video is either noisy because of the increased ISO, or it's smearing because the shutter speed is auto adjusting and keeping the shutter open longer (which causes motion blur). For good motion blur, it's best to keep the shutter speed at 2x the frame rate, so that is 1/120, which is short when the light is low.
If you're looking for the result using note 20 ultra as recording video, skip and dont waste time. If you're looking for the processes, skip again, other yt videos are more specific. This video just concises everything without any specifics.
To video creator: know what the point of the video really is, be comprehensible even if it means that you have to do series of follow up videos. Your content is literally a mix up of necessaru steps, personal experiences, softwares you use, equipment you use, troubleshooting, etc. Stick to your agenda! Dont be confused. You're welcome.
At 00:35 I stated the point of the video, To see if I could use it in all steps of my normal work flow, as well as in the video description, How frustrating is it to use the Note 20 Ultra from start to finish. The timestamps also follow the process from start to finish and let someone jump to the parts they are interested in. It seems like you expected this video to be something it's not, some sort of guide, where as instead it is an overview of the experience I had using the phone to make a video from start to finish
Are you really a content creator. I thought you are a small party amateur. Who had his phone for the first time. If you don't know how to use a phone and its tools you should not make reviews about. And Samsung galaxy is not the way to judge its capabilities.
If you have your ringer volume on, and you have the shutter sound turned on, the phone will make a ding sound when you start and stop recording while using the S Pen button. So that's one way to know if you've stopped or started
Yep, that was the problem. Thanks. I never have the shutter sound on and didn't even think of it pertaining to video recording.
You're gonna need to get a digital to analog converter for your other microphones to work.
Can you post more info on this, i'm looking for an external mic solution.
From what I understand, you need to use the official usb-c to 3.5mm adapter from Samsung in order to make sound work properly (yep, marketing scam)
But thank you for this great video!
Interesting. Everyone seems to have their own proprietary USBC to 3.5mm dongle. Should be the simplest thing in the world 🙄
@@FlarecorpMedia Exactly! I bought type-c microphones to save the hassle 😌
Samsung does that, pretty much all the time with their adapters and cables..now they removed the 3.5 jack.. everything has to be Samsung.

man, why is samsung doing the Apple. Very disheartening indeed.

Thanks for responding to my comments. You are indeed very thoughtful and talented. It's very nice that you found the time to respond to the comments.
Very informative video sir, by the way does the note 20 ultra have the ability to shoot in log video?

Hi there just to check is this the exynos version or the snapdragon version that you’re using in your review. :)
This is the snapdragon

I use my rode all the time you need the TRSto TRRS adapter, which I then have plugged into the Samsung converter. And works beautifully
Would you choose, for creating content, the samsung Note 20 ultra or the iPhone 12 Pro Max?
The 12 pro max
should use 12promax for content creator, samsung if you need to work with files like excell, word, powerpoint ,samsung dex

So should you prefer iPhone to android when it comes to shooting some videos
great work bro
i create all my channel videos using iphone 11 pro max and imove
Hi. Please what camera/video recorder do you use to records for videos on TH-cam?
I use a Fujifilm XT3 for my primary studio camera with the 18-55f/2.8-4 lens. My mic is the Rode VideoMic NTG.

@@FlarecorpMedia I hear you. Thanks for your reply and opinion/insight. Much appreciated. I'm really leaning iPhone now.
euh, that cruddy noise reduction that LG seemed to have problems with is here too?
Everytime I try to load the premier rush app it says the it is not compatible with my device(note 20 ultra). Any suggestions?

Is it video was recorded by note 20 ultra ?
greetings from Malaysia
awesome video

Thanks a lot for this video
Does the pro mode record in HDR in 4k 30fps?
Yes, it will do 4k, HDR 30fps. HDR is unavailable in 60fps though
Prime time. Well said. If I'm not prime time, just casual home movies or clips for social media. How about these apps on Dex? GoPro new editor or Quick? Insta 360 editor? Would love feedback if a willing person could test.

I think you will explore how to use note 20 to make a video😀
Why does my note 20 ultra make poor videos ? Particularly at 60 fps
I'm not sure. It's been four years so my memory is vague. Where's the created video? Been waiting for the result 🤦♂️
Check the video description or the card that pops up at 00:13
Note 20 ultra only records 5 minutes...it sucks...unless you know a trick to increase recording time
My note 20 ultra editor is crashing
Is that the built in video editor, called Create Movie?
8k has better resolution that's why it's better than 4k
Problem is, most devices and software can't support 8k so you're viewing in lower quality regardless if you record 8k or not.
@@homehustlerz248 people said the same thing for the iphone 6s when it could record 4k video 😐🙄
