In this video we started the trek after a very bumpy ride the day before and short night of sleep. We made our way through the mountains of Nepal, through villages and beautiful landscapes. Because of the start of the rainy season it was very foggy at times which created a very mystical atmosphere. After a long trekking day we eventually made it to Sandakpur or is it Sandakphu. Is it in Nepal or India? Not too sure...

Your travel to Sandakphu looks luxurious...I was there in 1993...the ponies were semi wild even then, the jungle echoed with yak bells but apart from that, it was fascinatingly silent and one could almost feel one's soul!
There was one 'Dak' bungalow (an old telegram office remnant of the British raj) and a yak herders shed...nothing besides...so it seems like modernity has made its entry even there...
You probably will have returned by the time you read this but there's an interesting return route via Nayabazaar and then downhill to the mai river and across to a village called Aarubotay and then to Fikkal.
