My people are from Co. Louth. I drove into Kilkeel to be confronted by Red, white and blue kerbstones, orangistic decorations and windswept emptiness. I have travelled all over the world but have never felt so unwelcome without meeting a soul. Don't believe the hype...

Really enjoyed this, my great-great-great-grandfather left Kilkeel for New Zealand, where I now live, in 1862. Love to visit one day.

My great grandmother was a Doyle from Kilkeel, and her sister married a Sloan, so it makes me smile to see these fellows on the video talk about their home, which was hers. Really nice work on the video as it makes the place so very real, and lovely.

hearing the accent makes me miss my grandad (Eddie Cole). He left for work in the 60s to work in construction in England where he married my grandmother.

My grandfather (McAllister) was born in Kilkeel in 1884, and came to America in 1889 with his family. One of 14 children, two or three sisters had already married and moved to London. Two sisters have traveled to Kilkeel to see the area and found the baptismal font in a church was the same one Grandpa was baptized over.

I visited from New Zealand on Orange Day 1985 . A descendant of the Orr family , farmers originally . There seem to have been many changes
