It's cus you're not saving. When you replace the text, make sure to save the change by hitting Ctrl+S, or go clicking on the Save button on the File Menu. Then when you go back to the main document, you'll see the new change effected.

That warning and inability to move your selection could be as a result of two issues; 1. Your selection could be too small (smaller than 1 pixel) 2. You're not making the selection on the main document layer. I'm sure you could be on one of the texts or another duplicated layer and since that portion is empty, you keep getting that warning message.
@lealemmihretu7145 that means the layer's visibility is turned off. Make sure the little eye icon on the layers' panel is turned on for all the layers you're working on.

Ok thanks. When I press control U for Hue/Saturation for passport photograph editing, it works. But I couldn't adjust the opacity because the option is not available on the right side where we always have the layers of each work

When I replace the text, the old text doesn’t dissapear, why is this?
It's cus you're not saving.
When you replace the text, make sure to save the change by hitting Ctrl+S, or go clicking on the Save button on the File Menu.
Then when you go back to the main document, you'll see the new change effected.
