Bro. You can do it horizontal elbow just use the formula, the only difference will vary would be the numbers or the dimension since you are now dealing with the width and not the thickness anymore
@@electricalinsider2536 agar ham ek hi sath do tray ko le ja rahe hai to uske beech ki duri kaise maintain rakhe. Chahe o 90degree or offset 45 degree hai to
For example if you to bend it for times so you need to divide your cutting into 2 for example in a 10cm cable tray if the marking for cutting is 4 make it 2cm if you want to bend 4 times
I base it on actual, sir for example the v shape cutting for 10cm tray is 4cm and for 20cm cable tray is 8 so if in order for you to get that the only number divisible to that is 2.5
The final goal is to have a 90° bend. If you split it in 2 triangles, you get two 45° (on top) triangles. After you're going to split those two triangles again, (because you only have the high of 10cm), and then you have a 22,5° angle and a 90° angle, meaning that the third angle must be 67,5°, then you get the sum of the internal angles that must be 180°. After that and knowing the trigonometric formula Tan angle = opposite side dividing for the adjacent side, you get that adjacent side must be the division of the opposite side (10cm), for the inverse tangent of the angle 67,5°(use 68°). In a resume...the 2,5 is the tangent of the angle 68°.
For anyone who happens to come across this video and wants a slightly better explanation about this 2.5 number. To work out the V quarter lengths that sit either side of the center V lines, we need to do the following formula (which works with any cable tray depth): Cable Tray Depth x tan(half the desired V angle) In this instance, we have 100mm cable tray depth and want each V to be 45 degrees, so half 45 degrees is 22.5 degrees. Therefore: 100mm x tan(22.5) = 41.42mm (4cm). The 2.5 number you see is found simply by dividing the 100mm by 41.42mm = 2.414 (2.5 for simplicity). So for future calcs with 45 degree bends, you divide tray depth by 2.5 and this will give you close enough the correct quarter lengths.

What space do you mean

if you want to bend 45 degree , (tray width: 100mm)
100/tan((180-45)/2) =41.42 mm
Sir how about for 3 cuts, to make long radius is it still 2.5 constant value to be use as the devisor
For 3 cuts use 3.73
For example if you to bend it for times so you need to divide your cutting into 2 for example in a 10cm cable tray if the marking for cutting is 4 make it 2cm if you want to bend 4 times

for trunking 5cm , is the constant value is still 2.5 ?
Yes sir 2.5 is still applicable in any size
@@electricalinsider2536 okay thanks so much.. im greeting from indonesian engineer

centre gap how to calculate..
Width multiple 0.4122 , this is exact measure (10*0.4122=4.122cm)
Salamat

If I make 90 out of 300 trays, will it cut 12cm?
30÷2.5=12
Yes indeed use 12cm as a cutting
And what about distance between v cuts
Depends on your channel support that you make.
Where did you get 2.5mm from

@@electricalinsider2536 pag 3 cut lod paano

why 2.5?
Constant value any size of tray just divide it by 2.5

For anyone who happens to come across this video and wants a slightly better explanation about this 2.5 number. To work out the V quarter lengths that sit either side of the center V lines, we need to do the following formula (which works with any cable tray depth):
Cable Tray Depth x tan(half the desired V angle)
In this instance, we have 100mm cable tray depth and want each V to be 45 degrees, so half 45 degrees is 22.5 degrees.
Or even simpler is to remember 0.8
Times your cable tray depth by 0.8 and then half that
