My first job out of high school was working a tower in WV. Stayed with it for 9 years. It was the best job I ever had. One of my most prized possessions is a photograph of all the District 4 forestry people together at a "Tower Observers meeting" in the 80s. What a wonderful group of people.
Amazing! I love lookout towers. Architecturally so simple yet everyone appreciates their structure, height, and views. Excellent spot cheers for sharing.
Man, you aren’t kidding when you talk about how hard it is to book one of these. I’ve been trying to book a tower close to me and have tried off and on for the better part of eight years. I’ll try for a couple months, then give up for awhile and try it again. Maybe one day.
That is fantastic !!! Congrats and thanks for the look brother..... Now how in the hell can you thumbs down this ? I dont understand that at all , hehe.
It's to easy to get at that's why it's so busy. If you can drive anywhere near 18k from any fire lookout it's a shit show, I like the more beaten off the path kinda fire lookouts try a 8hr + hike. You'll be 💯 alone always lol

Putting this on our list. We've stayed at a few FS towers and remote cabins out west, fun additions to any adventure!

Great show! We have a couple of those on our list that will be visiting here in Oregon. Totally looking forward to it.
How amazing would it be to be in that tower at night and hear blood curdling screams coming from the forest below.
Yikes, I don't know about that LOL
Please get counseling.
The porch wood looks kinda sketchy.

Awesome! I'm definitely going to have to look into this!

This looks like the beginning of a found footage horror film.

This almost looks like the tower from the movie those that wish me dead with Angelina Joline

This looks almost exactly like the one from the movie Those who wish me dead with Angelina Joline thanks for the video
Dude, you are a rocks throw away from my cabin, 99 acres out by sharps tunnel. The gate at the tunnel and bridge is my spot.
That field that goes around the bend, that's ours. The land inside the horseshoe of the river we own.
