Thanks William! I also found Vervaeke's discussions with his colleague Anderson Todd to be valuable. Todd is also at U of T and is a practicing Jungian analyst. Here's the first of their videos together, on Jung, the Shadow, and Jordan Peterson th-cam.com/video/0J8TLRUOgJo/w-d-xo.html

@@daviddandrea5139 thank you David, I have been following Anderson for a few years and although he does things in a stop and go, style, looking forward to his future work.

John I had the "$@M=" symptoms Jung spoke of I recently learned, regarding a certain English letter A. Simply caused cognitive avalanche observing my son being taught the alphabet. Subsequently I derived a totally global expression of deep architectura light and shadow powers of English Alphabet text. You speak so closely mapping many things I can confirm are accurate in my experience. A bizarre one, definitely including axial and polar and musical orthographic tropes. The Screen is what I think Descarte is describing is irreducible distance the gap. It seems Z like, as in electricity fills the gap. A Sine wave.

Narcissism, Nihilsim and Decartes are connections I have heard before, but never so accurately put. Remember reading Lasch The Culture of Narcissism.

The serious play leading to the imaginal around 1hr 22 can be split up maybe by seeing how exciting it was when John went into a group wild space organized thing at one point, with a video on the subject. The elemental getting something from Nature which is not easy and so there's a group power there and serious play in making this easier, opening to new ways while doing the old way necessarily so a splitting and recombining for a meaningful reason which is pleasurable and connects individual and group. The other is the surplus energy in what is observed by the person in natural settings, if latticed strong modern materials and smell and noise conflict with that sort of fullness of being for the person or group as in ecosystem, if the person is between future (the surplus of what is observed) and past (a pattern of what was observed).
edit: and quality of qualia makes a difference, especially for the non-human elements in the ecosystem depending on relative quiet to express/exapt into a higher awareness entity, and that being the object as well as the individual object for the human to observe and relate to. Products, media and sports can imitate that. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for a incredibly out of the box discussion John and David. So important, why isn't this part of counseling programs?!

Thanks for the nice comment, what did you find most interesting?
I'm not a therapist myself but I think embodied / participatory techniques are becoming popular! Aside from ancient practices such as stoicism and tai chi, there are spontaneously emergent distributed, democratic role-play groups like "Authentic Relating". I've participated in the AR group here in Montreal, they're on to something.

The constant opponent processing and the layering at 1hr 34, perhaps as an example hitting the bird in badminton is exapting the way whitetail deer exapt a shape in the air as a group endeavor when startled, just extended in time more, and the badminton is further exapted into another layer that of the point system so both group and personal access. Does this point system replace the ecosystem? edit: the ecosystem as an exaption factory allowed by evolution. So within this constrained ecosystem, a limited possibility for exaption and a loss of meaning from that?
