- Today, I'm proud to share with you my favorite truck that I've filmed in a long time! Watching and listening to this truck took me straight back to my childhood! Here we have a gorgeous Heil Rapid Rail automated side load body sitting atop a WhiteGMC Xpeditor WXLL chassis! This classic beauty is seen here slamming back cans of residential waste on a sunny afternoon! This truck was a real joy to watch, and I hope you all enjoy it even half as much as I did!

That sound is probably why I never got sick of watching the same trucks over and over again as a child lol Really hope there will be more video in the future! 4 and 1/2 minutes is kinda short for such an awesome truck!
+WMmaster626 The sound alone was definitely enough to get me stoked on this truck! I thought I had gotten more footage than that, I was real disappointed when I got home and saw it was under 5 minutes. Don't worry though, I'm sure we'll be seeing it again! =D

ANIME-AND-BUSES OMG that is so throaty!!! And it probably does have a L10 cause the high pitched whine at low revs gives it away

OMG OMG OMG! Wow! Wow! Wow! Holy crap! This truck is just so freaking mean! That sound of the L10 Cummins - just plain music to my ears! This is how a garbage truck is supposed to sound! What a beautiful rig! Man oh man! I just can't stop listening to this truck all day long! Hopefully there is more footage of this roaring and growling classic on the way! And I just love that cloud of black smoke! How can you not love the smell of diesel coming from a garbage truck in the morning? It's just amazing! Great job filming and editing! Really enjoyed this one!

I see 4k is treating you nicely, it's all coming through fantastically on my end. As for the truck, what a beast! And a couple carts up front for good measure since it's not like the WXLL overhangs the front axle far enough as is. ;)

Pacific sanitation has those kind of bins along with shaefers and otters and a small otto classics.
What would be your best guess on their modification to the curb side of the hopper area? Did they extend the body out a little to block wind from blowing trash around from the curb side?
+shadofax96 That is the precise reason for that extra little "wall" up by the hopper. The wind is pretty constant down here in the basin, so they've built up the hopper area of all of their Rapid Rails like that to help shield against wind-blown debris. Rather ingenious, really!
Why wouldn't they just put a cage around the whole thing then?

Actually... They're for the driver to deliver to residences while on their route.
why are the garbage cans on the front and back of the truck
It is so the driver can deliver the carts while on route.
I note they didn't blank out Richland's web address off the tailgate... lol
