Tbh, the pressure feels heavier now… and it’s taking its toll on the players… and the fans as well. Hosting the 2023 FIBA WC sounds like a lot of fun. But it also presents a logistical challenge for our country. The security, the lodgings, the impending gridlock on our major thoroughfares. It won’t be just our basketball players in focus. The whole nation will be on the global lens as well. The People… US… *It’s imperative that we remember that.*

Of course, there is a correct way to do it... but I am just worried about our people. For all our bravado, we just don't seem to be at that collective level yet where we can pull this off without any hitches. I mean, look at us... allowing ourselves to be engrossed in such drama on which player should be on the team and who should coach them... If we are that susceptible to such drama at this point with a little over a year left before the event, then imagine how unprepared and tactically immature we are when it comes to logistics, security, and organization at this level of an event. 🙄

They do not know how to kill the opposing big men or know how to draw the big man away from the basket to set up Kai... Most of the pick n rolls JC and Kai did either ended up a basket or a free throw...
And I also saw in the box stats sheet that Kai's efficiency was at +22 or +23. Next to Clarkson's+23 or +24. Kai was the 2nd best performer in that game after JC's.
Dont hype the kid so much..in fact, he need to be better on this kind of games. He got the potential, in some years he will be ready to the NBA but not in a year like a lot of people are saying.

But, eventually they will catch up with us like other nations did. Before, Philippines was a world powerhouse in basketball more specially in Asia. Now, when they already learned and catch up with us Filipinos we became little by little a laughing stock and just a house - no more power. He choked against an undersized but well-coached Indonesian team early this year. He choked yet again last week against Lebanon. Despite being known as the legendary choker, Choke Reyes still won't resign because he believes that he is the best to ever coach the RP team, standing above Toroman and Baldwin. 😆Pretty sure SBP knows that Choke's style of play is already outdated but they still chose to stick with him because of course he is their favorite lap dog.

In my opinion, As we are the Host next year, we should take advantage of what well Learn from all the Games we played in the Qualifiers..Yes, as Host for 2023 Fiba WC we got auto entry, so we should build already instill the next Youth players for Team Gilas, since after the World cup..we do not have automatic entry for the next Fiba WC 2027..so the Program should prepare the Future players so that we can build a longer Chemistry for the Team..New coaches and some new players...😉🙏
Tab Baldwin has resigned or maybe fired. Coach Chot is the one who bring Tab in the Gilas program, so when no one step up, coach Chot accepted the job when offered to him. Its easy for SBP to fire Chot but I like the loyalty the SBP afforded to him. The coach will always be blame in losing games it’s a fact, the only difference is Filipino fans are crazy vindictive and delusional like you.
Chot Reyes is also pitiful, when the audience booed him, it is really necessary to change him as a coach, because his game system is not yet international, only for PBA.

Guys guys guys stop shaming the coach, because of his previous mistakes or whenever the team collapses during a much stronger team, aside from having a great coach, we have to take in consideration that this is based on team work as well, remember that these players only had a few weeks to practice and adjust to each other’s skills. They don’t have enough practice as a team. Individual skills is great but it takes more practice and time to work as a team.

In my opinion, As we are the Host next year, we should take advantage of what well Learn from all the Games we played in the Qualifiers..Yes, as Host for 2023 Fiba WC we got auto entry, so we should build already instill the next Youth players for Team Gilas, since after the World cup..we do not have automatic entry for the next Fiba WC 2027..so the Program should prepare the Future players so that we can build a longer Chemistry for the Team..New coaches and some new players...😉🙏

Tab Baldwin has resigned or maybe fired. Coach Chot is the one who bring Tab in the Gilas program, so when no one step up, coach Chot accepted the job when offered to him. Its easy for SBP to fire Chot but I like the loyalty the SBP afforded to him. The coach will always be blame in losing games it’s a fact, the only difference is Filipino fans are crazy vindictive and delusional like you.
