FINAL TURN!!
What a ride Code Geass was and it definitely delivered in the long run. What we expected to happen actually happened and Lelouch did it first!! Even though we had our thoughts on where the show was heading towards the end it still had me crying!! lmao. We are really appreciative on those who stuck it out till the end and hope you enjoyed our Code Geass journey with us!! Hopefully we react to some more of your favorite animes and if you have any anime you think we would enjoy feel free to let us know and we'll look into it and decide if it's something we would want to do!! Everything I watch this show and hear nunaly cry out for lelouch it brings out the tears. This anime is timeless and ahead of its time

That last scene was really well executed and the ending was fantastic, waterworks in full affect.
Bro my reaction was the same I didn't know how to process these emotions so It was just a mixture of laughs and tears while screaming it not fair
Lelouch is a goated MC in our books for sure. The feelings were there and they wrote the ending so well. Now we see why it was said to be one of the best in all of anime!!

Lelouch and Suzaku are the most “poetically tragic” given the way R2 ends:
“For those two who bear the heavy sin known as killing their fathers, they share the belief that they can forgive each other by imposing the greatest punishments on themselves. Death for Lelouch who wishes for a tomorrow with his sister, life for Suzaku who wishes to atone for his sins through death. Suzaku, who accepts the weight of Zero's mask, gives his gratitude to Lelouch. For the fact that he can atone for his sins. You have finished the best part of CG, R1 and R2. There's no further sequel to this timeline, the original anime series timeline. Lelouch is really dead in this timeline.
As for the other parts, there *is* an alternate universe telling of the story with the three recap movies that changes some things, and a sequel film to *those* movies. But not a sequel to R2. This sequel and recap films series are specifically for LelouchxCC shippers( Lelouch's romantic life is a huge debate and cash grab in the fandom lol), cutting out completely Shirley and the student council stuff. I find the cut makes Lelouch colder and less relatable (and I also prefer LelouchxShirley ship, she also appeared first in Lelouch's flashback before dead so hey lol), so I don't really like it. Even besides the shipping stuff, the movie kinda butchered the characters portrayal as compared to the movies, so it is not very good at least for me. But it's still fun to watch as a casual non serious watcher I think
There is also a sidequel series called Akito that chronologically exists between the events of R1 and R2. And other random OVAs called picture dramas. Picture dramas are short stories considered canon by the fandom. I have never watched Akito before so I'm not sure how good it is, but most think that it's ok but not excellent

Always appreciate the clearing up of stuff we miss and the info we ask for. We might check out Akito but not react to it. Again, always appreciate it Sakura and definitely Lelouch x Shirley.
This was one of the first anime I ever watched back when I was 15 and it changed my life. I cried for a good 30+ minutes after. Even with all its flaws Code Geass is still one of my favorite anime of all time. All Hail Lelouch!

This is one of the first times I ever cried my eyes out watching an anime. And I was already an adult too, I was like 19 or 20 when I saw this.

Nah that's theory has been debunked. If u want Lelouch alive and with CC, the trilogy recap+ sequel movie exists. The anime series universe is over and he's dead. Whatever clip of him being the cart driver found online is fanmade. Or the novel version work too, but NOT in original anime series. In the Zero Requiem special edition series, there's CC voice over saying that even though she missed him, Lelouch died with a smile on his face. So yeah, he's officially dead in the anime series universe
Leaving aside wether or not it's true the more common theory back before the movies was that he attained the Code from Charles when he had "God" erase Charles even though he was supposed to be immortal. So now both C.C. and Lelouch are immortal.

the lore states that everyone who gets the code loses the geass and Lelouch never lost his geass.
The anime also contradicts the myth of "activating codes", as we can see with Charles who had the code in Turn 14, an episode BEFORE he shot himself.
Even the writers have said that Lelouch is truly dead and not immortal.
Nobody in the fandom believes that conspiracy theory of Lelouch having a code because we have the official facts from the creators themselves

Movies AU aren't recommended unless you really want Lelouch alive and go off with CC leaving Suzaku to handle all the Zero stuff

@@seananime_copying yeah? and he still handled the rest in the AU version, just with LL and CC getting their happily ever after all by themselves, meanwhile Suzaku is still staring in the sea of candle missing Euphy + all the Zero stuff. It ruined the whole theme of atonement and redemption of the entire anime, where no one is supposed to have a completely happy ending due to all the shit they have done
