Man, Love the real banter between a husband and a wife. Love your videos Chad!! You’re the reason I bought a SS127 kayak. Btw, love your wife’s attitude, you’re a lucky man buddy.
#PFD the ultimate #KayakFishingOrganizer, . Mrs. Kristie, Chad great rundown on how y'all organize your PFD's Mrs. Kristie bless your heart LOl., I definitely carry a pair of sun gloves, my hook sharpener, and spare quick release ties for my anchor enjoy y'all selves on Center Hill #USA .
We carry little mini crank up flashlights for fishing early in the morning or late they're about an inch by inch square . I also carry my fish attractant . Thanks guys it was fun
Hahahaha. I love this video! I think you both have valid items in your PFD. Chad.... I agree with Kristie though... too many hooks!! Chapstick is a MUST. But not 3 of them. haha. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome thanks. Your wife is a great addition. Remember I have been fishing with my wife for 19 years. I recommend sunscreen for her PFD then she will have something you need to borrow.
Great video as always. Looks like the new design also comes with a new price tag. $80 for the old design VS $120 for the new one!!! Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see enough improvement to justify the $40 increase. And, $140 for the OS!!! That's really getting up there!!!
Yakcraz # actually, that’s not 100% true. The original Chinook was $109, they raised the price to accommodate the new design features and like all things that are discontinued the price goes down until they are sold out so that’s what many think the price was.
@@ChadHooverFishing Ah didn't know that. I got mine off Amazon a few months ago. So nice to have a real fishing PFD!!! Pricey things but overall worth the investment.
This was a awesome video . Like how you did a breakdown of what you carry I personally never thought of carrying hooks in my PFD but that's a really good idea ..
I didn't know they had a female version of the Chinook! Oh well I like my bright orange one! Brighter the better for boaters to see me with! Thank you for this video as it really helped me with my setup for my Chinook. Tons of hooks and three chapsticks...got it! Great job as always!
way behind on my videos due to fishing over the long weekend and this stupid work thing... but you go Kristie.. i keep two different SPF chap sticks in my PFD as well.. lol... but i do carry all my hooks and weights as well.. you guys are great.. keep it up
Hi Chad. Can you please do a shout out to the Inuit people in northern Canada who invented the kayak in which everyone now enjoys. They hunted and fished their tradition back 3000 years. They would fish and hunt across ice flows with a kayak. Love the sport and watching you teach the sport through your videos. Great work. Our bass season opens in 3 weeks😂
Great video! I was wondering about the shenook. I'm a strong swimmer. My concerns are, exhaustion and being knocked unconscious. The second is unlikely, but could happen. In your opinion, would the shenook be able to keep my head above water and flip me over if this was the case? Trying to prepare for worst case.
I realize this is an old vid, however I’m looking into the same pfd. What line clipper do you have on yours chad. The one on the right side where you have the rod holder I can’t seem to find that and it looks super slick. I like that.
Happy wife, happy life. 😁 I switched to mustang PFD so don't carry a bunch in my pfd. I lash pliers to my yak. I have a tether on my pants for car Keys and a pocket knife, so dont lose them if I go overboard. I have pack basket for odds and ends.
Interesting video. I thought I saw you in another video with your cellphone attached to your PFD. Where do you keep your cellphone and do you attach it to something? P.S. I wear my PFD 100% of the time.
I connect it to my PFD with a Rogue Fishing Co phone tether (The Protector) and either keep it in my PFD pocket or wedge it in my PFD right behind the zipper between the two sides. www.fishusa.com/Rogue-Fishing-THE-PROTECTOR-Phone-Tether-3.0
I like the new Hobie short manual inflatable real hot days, and clip a few essentials. Line cutter, eye poker, whistle minimum. With my 20 yr old Simmons fly vest on top I can carry basically everything for a day, except of course a few rods. All you can carry within reach (and reason) takes a while to figure out, but I love my Simmons. / inflatable combo.
Picked mine up today. I been using a bass pro inflatable vest. Goes around waist forget its even there. When bought it in 2016 I was told it auto inflates. Anyways finally decided to read instructions cause needed to replace cynider I figured since been so long. And found out it doesn't auto inflate, I have to pull a cord while drowning, and to top it off I have to munever it around me on head ect... So decided wasn't for me.
Trying to find a PFD that fits me. I am 6-0" and 220lbs. But I have a belly that makes kayak PFD's ride up out of the water. Looking at this video, I cant believe that if you fell in the water, that PFD wouldnt be around your head. Dont they make PFD's that fit belly?
Hey Christy you really need to put a whistle on your pfd in case you get out of sight of chad. Chad i can't believe that you haven't already caught that. Spoke to soon I was typing during the video.
Man,
Love the real banter between a husband and a wife.
Love your videos Chad!! You’re the reason I bought a SS127 kayak.
Btw, love your wife’s attitude, you’re a lucky man buddy.
This is the best video I have ever seen!
Also, I have added my line cutter, dude wipes, and chapstick to my PFD.

A hook Sharpener is a great idea! I am adding that in mine for this upcoming week in Wisconsin!
We carry little mini crank up flashlights for fishing early in the morning or late they're about an inch by inch square . I also carry my fish attractant . Thanks guys it was fun
Lol Christy looks super thrilled lol 😆

with that PFD I would not need my tackle bag :), great video!
You two should go on improv....you crack me up! And the best things come from East TN, Chad!
way behind on my videos due to fishing over the long weekend and this stupid work thing... but you go Kristie.. i keep two different SPF chap sticks in my PFD as well.. lol... but i do carry all my hooks and weights as well.. you guys are great.. keep it up

Always great video! Very informative. Love our chinook
Just bought one today because of this video.

It’s the Gerber Defender
Thanks Chad, I never knew what the velcro strap was for on the Chinook.
Ps chapstick is a great lubricant for the Yeti soft cooler zipper, just sayin’

Love y'all!
You're shaking your head and my wife right now is sitting here laughing agreeing with your wife on ChapStick and sunscreen she thinks it's hilarious

Where do you keep your phone for CPR? Mine is tethered inside my right front pocket and works for me, but i do fumble around getting it out sometimes.
I carry mine in my right front pocket ;)
Chad I just noticed that you didn't have your knife on. What knife do you use? The blue handle one. Thanks.
I was thinking the same...where’s your knife Chad?
He ALWAYS has the Gerber CrossRiver knife and so do I.
Thank you Kristie....
Chad, that was great! Sounds like my wife, but she always out fishes me!
You two are hilarious
Excellent videos

Talk all the smack you want Chad, you know you are one lucky man! 😁
I like that PFD, but I'm concerned it won't fit me. I'm afraid the only ones that will really work for me will be the inflatable types.
I were the 2x and im 6' 320lb it has a little room to spare, but not much.

And my wife wonders why I catch more fish when she goes lol😂
If you fall in the water with all that gear in the front of your pfd, wouldn't you float front down??
Hey Christy you really need to put a whistle on your pfd in case you get out of sight of chad. Chad i can't believe that you haven't already caught that. Spoke to soon
I was typing during the video.
Dewey Lee 😜
👍
I carry pretty much the same stuff but also include my fishing license and kayak registration.
Great video, but I don't understand how you fish with all that PFD bulk around your stomach. It gets in the way of handling rods.
SO CUTE
what size Shenook?
For?
Same as the shirt size of the person wearing it.
@@ChadHooverFishing was your wife wearing the SM/MED or LG/XLG. Thank you. I’m right on the fence as to size options.
Love you guys hey she needs a whistle too
You to are great. To funny
snuff, pliers, snips, 2 o ring tools, split ring pliers, granola bar, phone, keys, knife, whistle, license, sharpie, pen, head lamp
Lol the fish may get chapped lips or fins. Need lots of chap stick. Lol that's funny
😂😂
#couplesgoals
I'm a dude and I have chap-stick in my PFD. My lady likes them lips soft.

My wife says your wife is smart and making you carry everything because she makes me carry everything
Uh ya.....u got alot of metal in that PFD brother. U sure it will still float? Lol jk. Great vid
