I truly don't get it, why go through all the hassle of making a chibified car if they're gonna cheat on the faux parts anyway? They should have taken advantage of that and used the real parts, which would have drastically reduced the kibble and the fiddlyness. I also find hilarious that they went through the engineering nightmare of giving him a backwheel for accuracy's sake, but with the mess of a back pack it looks terrible anyway.

Wow from VW Beetle to accordion bot! Amazing, lol. I'm sorry but as neat as it is that they're going for animation accuracy...this just doesn't appeal to me. I know the previous Masterpiece BB wasn't a lot of peoples ideal figure but I liked the real life car mode with a bot that resembles the G1 bot design. Too much here I feel is sacrificed to the animation model. Fold the car up onto his back, then fold the rest of the car up under his feet, lol. It doesn't look TERRIBLE, but I almost feel like this is a step backwards and with the new Earth Rise Cliffjumper looking a lot more like a simplified version of the older Masterpiece BB...it gives me more of an incentive to keep the older Masterpiece BB. Still a great video Peaugh!

Front of the car mode = spot-on accurate. Back of the car mode = spot-on accurate. Front of the robot mode = spot-on accurate. And the back of the robot mode = not so much. The figure needs a remold.
Both versions look good in their own way. Hard to decide which I like better. Maybe the newer color and car mode with something between the two heads and body width.

It's like none of the v.2 Bee haters actually own any official or 3P Masterpiece figures. I say this because none of them are perfect, and so many of them have "backpack" issues similar to Bee v.2. I think XTB Torro has THE worst backpack of any MP/3P figure I've seen, and that's saying alot considering others like Tracks anyone? Hell, compare Bee v.2 with the official Sunstreaker, compare the backpacks, compare the side views. Even figures like MP-27 and 30, required Shadow Fisher upgrade kits to clean up. I can understand criticisms about looseness of joints and ratchets etc. And there's no problem with pointing out the obvious, we wish v.2 Bee had a cleaner backpack and feet. But at the end of the day, v.2 Bee looks Hella better than MP-21, the overall aesthetic blows that figure away, and I think the haters will eventually jump on board the v.2 Bee ship.

The back bumper on mine did the same thing, until I pressed it further into the tabs that you pointed out. Then the taillights fit flush like they’re supposed to. The back square panel is on its own hinge and can also sit flush if desired. Also, the actual waist swivel doesn’t require unclipping the back at all. Just move the hip covers to give clearance for the swivel. It has limited range, but it’s a separate swivel from the one that’s locked by the back panels (primarily a transformation swivel).
these new cartoon model designs really take the fun out of transforming them. its just so tedious now. what bums me out most about this bee is that any masterpiece minibots will likely be based on the penny racer design as i would have liked fully licensed vehicles.
Can't finish G1 MP line without having Galvatron. Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave & the Seekers was the only 4 Decepticons molds & rest are all Autobots. Need more Decepticons

And don't forget about Soundblaster, the straight up repaint of Soundwave. All the tape Minions thus far (Ravage, Rumble, Frenzy, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Enemy, & Wingthing). And of course, MP10B Black Convoy, aka Nemesis Prime (who's gettin' a v2 as MP49, repaint of MP44). It amazes me that they haven't even done the Insecticons by now. (Though with the upcoming MP47 Hound, I smell that tan repaint that was a Decepticon coming...)
I think that it goes back to MP22 Ultra Magnus flirting with anime accuracy in robot mode. Then there's MP24 Starsaber, who looks like he stepped right outta Transformers Victory. MP33 Inferno, MP35 Grapple, MP36 Megatron v2, the Beast Wars peeps - including the toy colored MP38 Optimus Primal (who was in the Beast Wars II movie)...
I always complain hasbro quality even with my recent siege ironhide and his van covers on feet/ calf that pops off. But takara quality is also dropping seeing that back bumper not fitting 😡😡😡
He looks good from the front in robot mode, and that's it. The back and sides of the robot are a kibble nightmare, and the car mode is silly. I'd rather keep the first version, both modes on the v1 are better than this.

Wouldn't have been show accurate. In the cartoon the windows all changed shape on his chest so fake needed to be used
