    I don't care about all those controversies and discussions around the Bajaj brand or the Pulsar brand, I just see this as a great value for money motorcycle. As Rishad said you are getting "a lot of motorcycle" for this price. At the end of the day it's a great great value for money overall package which you can't ignore. It has got everything you need. From my perspective, whatever I wanted the bike has got it and even more.

    Ihv used a dominar for 4 years. It was a wonderful bike for touring...fast as well. This bike 19kgs lighter with a aggressive mapping will definitely be a good bike. People complaining about Bajaj can keep complaining but for that price it's a steal!

  • @abhishekkumarsingh7412

    Looks may be subjective but for the price the feature list is really commendable. At this price one instead of getting R15 or any other 250cc bikes one can get a 400cc motorcycle which uses a reliable and proven engine. All the necessary electronic electronics are there, the chassis is better compared to the counterparts. I hope the specs sheets translate to a fun riding experience in the real world as well.

      No man, automatic - and motorcycles - somehow the idea doesn't gel too well....There is something charming about using the clutch, gear, learning clutchless up/downshifts through rev-matching and so on...
      There are a few bikes like Africa Twin which has DCT transmission as one of the options - but any real rider who loves motorcycles would want to learn the ability of using gears to the fullest on his or her own rather than some system doing it for you!!
      For convenient short commute, there are always scooters!

    • @ishan4269
      @ishan4269 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      It's not the fact that it's bad... It's the fact that such a big step for the Pulsar brand comes with very minimal changes in design to establish it as the beast of a machine that it really is (according to the price point)... Moreover, the little changes that are there, are not exactly eye candy. Maybe it's a matter of taste, but the headlight design is pretty weird I'd say. It's neither fully NS, nor N and not even a great mixture of both either... It's not super ugly or anything, just not something we'd expect from Bajaj given its past designs, and given the fact that it's such a big step for the whole company, and most definitely the Pulsar brand

      @vineethg6259 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      If they put the new-gen KTM or Triumph engine in this and then sell it at a similar affordable price, who will buy their premium motorcycles then? They need to differentiate their brands.

    • @ASKME2DAY
      @ASKME2DAY 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      May be because dominor engine is a successful engine.. u know.. sometimes, the brand reaches a point where they have done their best for a 400cc or any cc.. if u see Honda IVTEC, instead of changing, they made sure all the customer reviews are addressed and after years, now IVTEC has reached the saturation point, u knownryt, the best refined engine.. same goes to the engine with the RE 650s have, well refined, no need of twerking at all.. similarly Bajaj also had DTSI which was well balanced untill BS4 when Fuel Injection became a mandate.. since then, after all the research and reviews, the 373cc is the saturation point of Bajaj. Yes it's shared with KTM but that's okay, that's their limit. Now the next big thing would be NS400 facelift next year of May be in 2026 when they will introduce NS400Z with the 399cc engine which Dukes have now.. so a Dominor and NS400 facelift in 2026 is most likely.. this one that we see today is just a mere stock clearance of the 373cc engines which were leftout for Dominor whose sales have dropped tremendously.. Just business..

    Pricing is really good but this comes at the cost of a bike that was originally designed 10 years ago. Changes at headlight & forks does look when viewed from head-on but sides & rear still reminds of 10 year old NS200.
    To put more salt the KTM sister bike had 3 whole generation changes while NS200 still stuck with that same gen1 designed, which now NS400 gets.
    Those who on budget or value conscious will definitely be attracted to this, but to me this is still a 10 year old outdated design to the core.

    Seeing some kids crying over the design, but remember Bajaj was the first maker who introduced the sports segment in the middle class and with this bike it will normalise the 40ps power to the masses, bcos yes there are bikes coming in this segment but still out of reach for many that gap will be filled with this bike.
    And cry hard, u r sad not bcos of design bcos u know that now u will see many 400s on the roads and u don't have a splender of ur own. Cry more. Bajaj is ready to revolutionize the biking culture once again.

    This is very much the bike Bajaj should have originally launched instead of creating Dominar brand - that bike was good but it threw away the advantage the Pulsar name had built originally before Indians got spoiled by various foreign brands - one of them being KTM itself!
    Just as Pulsar NS 200 came right after KTM Duke 200, Pulsar NS 400 should have come right after Duke 390!
    Even now it's ok that finally its here - Bajaj has always given affordable performance to Indian riders - this is going to be the VFM bike for a lot of people despite somewhat old design.

    Quick question, what happens to the Dominar now? Unpopular opinion may be, but Bajaj screwed up that brand themselves by going after Bullet. They made it unnecessarily heavy. Then there was the whole 'Haathi mat paalo' ad. On a lighter note, Haathi is worshipped in India and RE has almost the same status (not god per se, but a strong cult status). It was completely unnecessary and I don't think Dominar brand really recovered from that. Is it a bad bike? no, on the contrary I actually liked the Dominar. Sure its not perfect but they could have made it so much more than what they ended up doing. I think the NS400Z now will mostly fix what Bajaj messed with Dominar. I hope Bajaj retires the present gen Dominar and truly brings out something spectacular. Will the new 399cc makes its way into the next-gen Dominar? I have a strong feeling about it.

    • @mustafadudhwala7278

      I believe the issue is bajaj tried the cheapest 400 7 years ago at 1.36L. back when duke was 2.5-2.8 ish. It's evident bajaj clearly hasn't learnt that just a larger engine in a cheaper format isn't aspirational enough to push consumers. Launching a 400 for the price of a 200 doesn't push existing 200users to it because it isn't much of an upgrade aside from the engine. And majority beginners won't be allowed to ride a 400 by their parents😂. But your hypothesis is good, maybe someday the dominar will return with a new engine and with a more premium appeal. Currently the bike isn't aspirational enough to justify the 400cc tag. A four hundred has to be the end of single cylinder motorcycling not the start. This should be reflected on the price too😂

    • @TheLazyWandererMys
      @TheLazyWandererMys 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mustafadudhwala7278 It is not just about cheap. I think Dominar was good value. But there was another issue. Pulsar had a very strong brand presence. I remember back in college when the initial batch of Pulsars 150/180s started rolling out, people wanted to be seen on a Pulsar. It had the masculine appeal, something that is sought after by the college youth. May be bajaj had to do the NS400Z then instead of Dominar. Even after so many years, Bajaj hasn't been able to establish Dominar as a premium brand, at least not as much as they expected. Pulsar on the other hand is still very popular.

      I don't own the Dominar, but I test rode it a year ago and was absolutely blown away by the experience. That is a lovely bike and has a potent engine, but why is it so heavy? Anyway, I hope Bajaj launches something with twin cylinder setup. They had the potential to update Avenger line, but they are too busy with their Pulsars. They call themselves a sports motorcycle brand, but ironically they butchered their most sporty looking bike RS200😂
