This is long, bare with me a sec. These lyrics portray the absolute state of Zeus's ego. Zeus is so drunk on his power that he believes Thunder and Lightning are enttities, beings that obey him of their own will, rather than tools that are an extension of himself. Even Pride is a being, something he can bend and control. He commands them. "Thunder, bring her/Lightning, wield her." He gives them personalities. "Pride is a damsel in distress." If you think about it, it would be like lifting your own hand and being proud of it for obeying you. It's disgustingly arrogant, and the way the song portrays it is brilliant.
It’s not just this either, the song also hints at his… other favorite activity. “Try all she can not too confess its all the same when I apply all the pressure”
I would disagree with that interpretation. It's only wordplay and allusion of his.... Main activity.... Aka rapping woman. He refer to divine justice/punishment. He wield and bring justice and punishment through lightning and thunder. - who can undress pride out of a man - what can reveal your the nature of someone - who make kindgom fall - suffer the fate - take the damn for the crime - bring you ear until your fear - spear until your death is near - i am the judgment call Also Lighting wielder / wield her Thunder bringer / bring her He just made word play on these. But as order, like you say, it doesn't make sense. And Technically justice is a goddess He's also saying Ok you messed up, who is to take the punishment for this crime. You the captain, responsable of your crew action. Or your crew, who disobeyed you and made the mess.
If Zeus wanted to he could have made Odysseus actually say it rather than have him point That way his entire crew in the world knows that way there is a shadow without a doubt
@@sinfuladam fair point, do yall know why my comment got this traction though? Lmao I was only remarking on the horse and boy and this song’s moments 😭
I hate how grape-y the lyrics sounds when he talks about Pride but at the same time i'm obsessed with this song and Luke Holt sounds so good. I have conflicting feelings
Same me too i love this song because i can feel how creepy Zeus is and how full of him self and now i get why many couldn't say no you can feel in his voice his not giving you a option
Its funny how the part where Eurylochus is singing about the island, it has the same rythm as when Zeus was talking to Odysseus about the infant in the first song
fantastic job on the subtitles! I'm HoH and have struggled with quiet a few of the lyrics till now I also love the humor you put in on occasion (the smilies, the words scrolling past, the spinning cow, and so on) ^^

I love how the song shows the full ego Zeus has, like he appears and you can instantly understand what type of character he is. I love it

Zeus will always be Zeus, unfortunately. LOL

I can’t explain it but the way Luke Holt sings “someone’s gotta die today and you have got the final say” scratches my brain.
Odysseus's voice at the end when he's talking to eurylochus always leaves me speechless. Jorgy Gorgy is so incredibly talented.
My eyes never get dry i swear
Zeus saying "enlighten me" he's just teasing Odysseus so much.
Mfer always making him choose 😭
Not in the real Odyssey-
Hey Hera, u know u don’t love Zeus at all, so can u throw him into Tartarus for me? Thanks ❤

nah it does a good job of characterizing Zeus as the terrifying sleazebag he is in the mythology
it does make me really uncomfy too tho but thats the point
@@guesswho7128 Oh absolutely they nailed it, it's perfect as is
“Grape-y” there’s no algorithm in the comments here man just say what you wanna say, we’re talking about ZEUS here
It fits Zeus so much that he starts off the song talking about undressing a woman (Even if it’s Pride, you still get it)

Yes, but far slower
@@doloresgronenberg5882 yeah. I realized afterwards that Survive does the same thing ( I'm stupid for not realizing it sooner )

"But...we'll die..." "....i know" The tremble in Odysseus's voice WHY

The piano in the ending sounds like it can be an undertale theme 🤣
My sister thinks he sounds like Asgore LMAO
I thought that it almost sounded like the bridge part in Hopes and Dreams
When are you gonna make the lyric videos for the wisdom saga?? No pressure but I've been dying for it. I need lyrics

Will you be redoing the troy and Cyclops sagas with the new audio?
I think eurylochus should of been the only one to die.
