Rosé's vocal in this is emotionally charged... you can really believe she "don't know what to do." (There is also a dance practice video of this song). Their floor work, BTW, is really evident in songs as early as Boombayah. One video I like that reveals their dance "process" is the deleted scene from BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky, where Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa run through the choreography for ‘Kill This Love’ one last time in their practice studio. Lisa - the complete dancer - is so serious, but still smiles, while the others laugh and fool around. Rosie keeps apologising, needlessly, and yet, they all nail it... I think you'll enjoy it. Maybe Lisa tone is not unique but for me her voice is the more like Versatile. On AIIYL the chorus and the rap part, when you don’t know them you wouldn’t notice it’s the same person doing it.
Even in DKWTD the beginning when she sing, then the chorus when she said « don’t know what to do » then the Rap part. For me it sounds like 3 differents tones.

well, there definitely are cases where there is a very heavy playback, so the vocals arent 100% live. there are performances when jennies mic isnt on her lips but her voice still is played. they often have heavy playback but sing some parts live. also lisas solo, dont think ive heard her sing 100% once, a heavy playback and some parts sung live. they can sing, but they dont always sing live

"Don't Know What To Do" is actually one of my favorite songs from BP, not only bc of vocals (Lisa and Rosie's vocals are insanely good) but also bc of their choreography. I'm also highly amused by their hand movements in the chorus lol Lovely reaction!

Just want to say that watching you watching them has helped me understand just how intricate their dance work is. So much is happening in their dance work that unless you know what to look for it kinda flies by, but now that i've watched Lisa showing just how a slight change in raising your arm or the tilt of your hand makes a difference, and they're doing a lot in their work, I can see just how much practice and work goes into their dances. The girls are just the gold standard by which other girl groups will be measured. They are just incredible to watch...

They always sing live with a backtrack. Usually it just emphasises certain words and isn’t the whole song tho. Sometimes they won’t sing the chorus if they dance hard and will just play the back track. You can hear this best in concerts. They’ve become well known for their live vocals 😄
You should react to kick back and we rock (Lisa version) from youth with you 2. They’re both boy group dances and she wanted to show she could handle those. Her ‘We Rock’ was one take and 4 mins long. She almost passed out after it because she’d been overworked and was exhausted when she done it. I was impressed at how well she performed while being so physically tired!
