My ex mocked me for the boundaries I wanted. Then after we went a little far I wanted to make the boundaries more clear and make them happen. He just mocked me again and tried to compromise the boundaries. Some things he said for y'all to watch out for: "we don't need to write out the boundaries. We're both Christians it should just come naturally for us." And "you can't have a romantic relationship without kissing." Don't worry y'all I broke up with him a week after. It was evident he did not truly love the Lord.
I am the one that sets out the boundaries in a relationship as I live the life of chasitiy, and I am in a relationship with a amazing girl who understands if I say stop it means that I what to keep our relationship pure and that I do love her and wants what is best for her and myself. because living chasitiy has given me the knowledge that if you love someone you will respect them and what they need and if they say stop you will stop without question. this post is from a man living the life of chasitiy. and likes to hold hands and to treat his girlfriend like an angel and a daughter of God. I will wait until marriage.

I am not religious, however I agree with you so much on the topic of saving yourself for the right guy. Unfortunately I don't know a lot of girls with that level of self-respect and self-value as they are escaping in such physical action just to "have done it" and "belong". I didn't stay pure but from here on out I'm making the decision to "wait till marriage" again... sounds silly but it's so much better than sleeping around right? I'm not that type of girl anyways. I struggle with trying to communicate physical boundaries to guys I like/want to date. Especially struggle with sticking to them as well.

We are waiting until marriage for sex, we openly discuss all topics, we both believe the same things, and our goal in our relationship is to get married. It is something we discuss frequently and definitely see happening in the future. The only thing I'm unsure about is if we are being immature. I know many happily married couples who dated in high school and have a strong marriage today. Our parents fully support us, though my parents don't like the idea of me leaving them, but we won't be getting married until we're in our 20s, for sure.
