    Very nice watch and combination, spot on! Just one thing when you mentioned AR coating, I don't believe Rolex is even using a one side AR coating on the sapphire cristal...just on the inside of the date magnifier and that's it.

      @bullionseconds  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Benoit Bauer Thanks for the correction, you may be right there as there is a lot of reflection present with no green/purple tinge... it’s a shame as it would give a invisible crystal free looking finish!

    126334 with rhodium dial is the single best Rolex watch. No competition. I own this watch, new sub 124060 and Pepsi. I couldn't be happier. All purchased at retail. I was only hesitating between blue dial and rhodium on 126334, I glad I went with rhodium. I just need 116500LN white dial, but my AD says probably never ;-)) unless I buy some super expensive full gold or platinum day-dates.

      @@ehe-uk I still love it. The only thing I have noticed is the jubilee bracelet is abit flash for daily use. But it doesn't dissapoint. Beautifully made and so comfortable. I was torn between the rhodium and the blue dial but the rhodium is amazing.I am in New Zealand and we only have 2 AD locations which happen to be the same jeweler. But saying that this was my first purchase with them and I waited about 3 weeks. I picked it up in December and put an order in for a batman which I have been assured I will have by August for my wedding anniversary. So I guess im lucky. Hope this helps and enjoy your watch :)

      @@Mike171111 thanks Mike for getting back to me quickly and your advice about the Jubilee. I was torn between the smooth and the fluted bezel but decided to go smooth i’m not wanting to be too flashy and if I find the same as you do about the Jubilee I can always swap it out I guess. The smooth bezel is perhaps a bit more versatile like that though they are all excellent watches I think, and it’s the high range of personalisation that really appeals as well as everything else about the DJ model generally. Funny, because this is my first Rolex for a significant birthday I’m having in August, the same time you’re expecting your Batman. So I certainly hope I’ll have it in time for then, I’m a bit anxious because I want the watch so much. It’s also really heartening to know that a good AD can (quite rightly) supply watches to genuine enthusiasts in half decent timeframes despite all the grey market nonsense. Certainly helps indeed, thank you.

      @@ehe-uk one thing I made very clear was I wasnt going to flip any watches they sell me. I have a list of watches I want to collect over time and will work on a relationship with the AD to grow my collection gradually. I was honest and told them I dont have massive amounts of money and jave to save up for every purchase. Just be genuine, and it pays to keep in regular contact (about once a month) with one particular person at your AD. I live about 3 hours from my AD so I cant pop in but phone calls or an email are great. I dont like the fluted bezel. Its too much, especially on the jubilee in my opinion. This was my first rolex watch and im not dissapointed.

    Hi ABS, very nice video and comments on your DJ41. I ordered the same combo except I choose the blue dial about 9 weeks ago and still (impatiently) waiting -- can't wait to get it. Interestingly, my AD offered me a new jubilee Batman GMT 4 days ago, so I purchased it (you can see it on my channel). I do not have a big wrist (7.5") and did not take out any links on my Batman jubilee either. Thanks again for your vid -- you have a beautiful watch and I enjoyed seeing it.

    • @bullionseconds
      @bullionseconds  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the nice comment Doug. The blue dial really suits countries where the sun is out where the lighting works positively with the blue sunburst dial, unlike here in the UK! Getting a Batman without asking for one is remarkable and hope softens the wait for the Datejust... I was once offered a Rootbeer GMT by an AD and at that time I didn’t understand the wait for one was over a year and gave it a miss as needed £11k elsewhere... We live and learn..

    • @DougsPerspective
      @DougsPerspective 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bullionseconds The Root Beer is a gorgeous watch -- however, it is a considerably more expensive watch. If given the opportunity, I don't think I would put that much cash into a watch. I actually am in disbelieve I have paid $10K US for my Batman - the most I have every paid for such an item.

    Thank you very much for a great informative review. Your video helped me a lot, I am planning on purchasing a DJ41 and deciding between the jubilee +fluted or oyster + smooth bezel. Where did you purchase your watch, I am located in London, and the ADs do not have a selection of DJs.

    • @bullionseconds
      @bullionseconds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      JO A thank you, hopefully more watch videos to come in 2020. What option have you decided on? If I was to spec another I think a ‘modern classic’ rhodium fluted jubilee or a ‘timeless classic’ white fluted jubilee. My AD was David M Robinson, they have a branch in Canary Wharf.. but I believe the supply for Datejust is getting difficult and you may be looking at a 6 month waitlist! Best of luck!

    • @joa2944
      @joa2944 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you are right the supply of Date Just is getting difficult and need a bit of work to acquire the model. I have been to various ADs and the stock is very low. I managed to try on a few and the configuration I am leaning towards after visiting ADs and Boutiques. I am planning to go for your configuration 126300 Smooth Jubilee, Rhodium or Black dial. This configuration will be good for everyday use (5 x a week) for work.
      The DateJust is a classic. Thank very much, you have a great timepiece.

    • @bullionseconds
      @bullionseconds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      JO A Best of luck! If you find it hard to decide between those 2 coloured dials then bare in mind the black is more legible! Something I underestimated with the rhodium..

  • @taitlawrence
    @taitlawrence 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How long did you have to wait for this ? I have put my name down for one today exactly like this but with the black dial.. also waiting for a submariner.

    • @bullionseconds
      @bullionseconds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      JT1985 it took 2 months, however I think I was the last of the 2 month turnaround... it is more likely 4-6 months now. I’m probably coming up to a year for the Rootbeer wait still, hoping the corona situation will lead to a splurge of supply from ADs when they reopen! Nice spec, black looks consistent compared to rhodium and blue which constantly change in light which some people like but I prefer solid looks

    • @taitlawrence
      @taitlawrence 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bullion Seconds I’m picking up a Super Avenger II with a blue dial next week. It does look good on the datejust too. Had you bought from the AD before? I’ve registered the interest with Laings who I’ve never purchased from and Watches of Switzerland who I haven’t either but they said because I have bought from Omega before that counts with them as they are owned by the same company.

    • @bullionseconds
      @bullionseconds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      JT1985 Yep I have purchased jewellery from them too, in 6 months I would say I spent around £9k. I have tried to form
      a new link with Goldsmiths as I have purchase history with them too... my aims this year are Omega Speedmaster Snoopy (inevitable launch), Rolex Pepsi/Rootbeer... I have considered just getting the latest Seamaster or and IWC topgun as the Rolex wait seems never ending

    • @taitlawrence
      @taitlawrence 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bullion Seconds I actually sold my Speedmaster ( regret it now ) because that was my first proper watch and then I got my first Super Avenger and I just couldn’t go back to a 40mm case after wearing that.. that was 2013 though and my feelings have changed since then and I’d like one that size again.. hense the Sub and Datejust. So generally is there a much longer wait time on a Sub than a Datejust ?

    • @bullionseconds
      @bullionseconds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      JT1985 I would say they are roughly even wait, the sub is ready to go once in, I believe each AD gets around 90 subs per year whereas only 10 Pepsi’s only a year. The Datejust combinations vary so much that it will take as long to get your exact spec to pop up. Yes I get the size thing, definitely feel like a 44mm dark side of the moon sits perfect on me... but Rolex sizes and designs are timeless so cannot go wrong..
