    Awesome performance.
    Captivating lyrics.
I love history and have long been interested in the Titanic. This song is a trip back in time to a world more real and alive than the one we're living in now.
    Thanks for sharing your talents!

Would that we were still ''a place of brotherly love and hope." Nice work, John.

Great,,great song. Wonderful voice! Do you sing anywhere in USA?
I have a friend who lives in Dublin, Ireland. Do you perform anywhere in that city?

This is fabulous John. The lyrics are so poigniant! This deserves airplay.
I have 3500 + videos on TH-cam taking in Belfast walkabouts, history, buildings, churches, key places to visit, castle, parks, wildlife etc etc I am just an old eccentric amateur eejit who enjoys making youtube videos. I would like, with your permission to give your channel a 'shout out.'
In other words I will do a video about it and recommend my subscribers to watch it. I will obviously provide a link. I'd like to include the first 12-15 seconds of 'Leaving Belfast Town' and the first 2 verses of lyrics to give folks a flavour of what they might hear and read. If that is ok please tell me. If you would rather I did not include this, I'll still do the 'shout out', anyway, if that's still ok. I will do nothing until I hear from you.
Are the pictures here maybe of your relatives who came to America?
Best wishes from a wet, cold and windy Belfast Northern Ireland lol

Tom, thank you so much! I would be delighted and honored for you to do what you described. Yes, the photos are of my grandfather, William Dawson, his wife, Rebecca (Baxter), my father, also William, and my aunt Rita. They came here in February of 1925, and the song is my attempt to honor and preserve his story. I'll look forward to seeing what happens! Let me know if there's anything I can do. Very best wishes back to you!

Wow. Such a beautiful and poignant poem and perfect companion for this tune. I am glad that I found this. I wonder if your grandparents came to Philadelphia in 1925, given the line referencing the city of brotherly love.
Thank you for this tribute to your family.
