I love piercing their skulls with arrows... But still not to the point of being a Stormcloak though, So I usually do this build but siding with the Empire instead... since that screws over the Thalmor more than anything((Also cause I see Ulfric as a smooth talker dictator who manipulates others like the whole religious freedom thing)).
Travis Walls I just started playing again since 2015, Bosmer my second build. After getting my archery and smithing up I started hunting the Thalmor instead of animals. I had to get smithing up to Elven before hunting them.
Played this build a while back... It's fun to keep a collection of Thalmor robes and elven helmets from every agent you kill. Nice little roleplaying element.
Thank you for this! I have always had the idea of making an anti-Thalmor Avenger, but I always imagined a bitter Nord. A Bosmer avenging Valenwood adds more depth to this backstory!
@Fudgemuppet I once again recreated this build because of how simple, yet fun this build is. I made a minor change though. I was on my way to the palace of kings but then saw how the Elves were being treated. Not all elves are members of the Thalmor, and though he hates the Thalmor with a passion, it was just really hard to side with a faction that will take over where the Thalmor left off. Once the Stormcloaks win, they will focus on pushing out all outsiders, this includes his fellow Bosmer, that have made homes in Skyrim. What kind of Avenger would be okay with that? It feels better to side with the Empire, as not only are they most capable of fighting the Thalmor (and hate them as well) but its cool being a secret Thalmor hunter on your own, like a black ops solider. The Legion would know what you are doing, but would deny involvement if you were caught. This gives you the freedom to both fight the Thalmor, and stand up for the oppressed people of all races caught in the middle, much like the Avenger was.
I’m stuck on which build to choose. I just picked the Cyromancer build and it’s loads of fun but I’m looking to alternate between two characters And I’m looking for a fun and strong playstyle that I havnt tried before So seeing your guys thoughts would be awesome
Fudgemuppet, will you please remaster your beggar build? I've watched your video all those years ago, and I felt as if you had a lot of fun making that build. Thanks :)
Wesley Molt And for backstory he was extremely dissatisfied with the White-Gold Concordant and his parents were killed in the war, so he wants revenge.
If you equip ancient shrouded cowl which boosts 35% archery, you can equip Krosis (20%) as well. So you get 55% archery dmg boost from headgear alone Ancient cowl can even be paired with deathbrand helmet. Not all can be paired, but the combination is the mystery to find out
Love role play, I made up a similar type that’s a knight like a dark paladin that executes thalmor using wuuthrad. Every time I see thalmor the same line play back in my head. “Thalmor you have committed crimes against the people or Nirn and the gods, the gods demand justice and you will all pay for your heinous crimes with your lives.”
I know this video is 4 years old but I have some role-playing tips for this build: The quest “missing in action” seems perfect for this build, and could add depth to The Avenger’s support of the Stormcloaks. One character that you should definitely kill at some point is Ondolemar, the head of the Thalmor Justiciars in Skyrim. He’s stationed in Markarth in Understone Keep. You can also kill Elenwen after “Season Unending”. Though she’ll be in the Thalmor Embassy with no way in without exploiting some glitches. That’s about it, have fun slaying Thalmor!

I love that you do a mix of modded and non-modded builds. As a person who plays modded but doesn't always care for downloading new mods, it's nice. Also, it's great that you don't have 20+ mods to make a modded build work.
When I played this I made some slight roleplay adjustments: While the avenger had originally planned to join the stormcloak's side, upon arriving in windhelm he had already seen what they really were. The stormcloaks weren't fighting against the thalmor and for the freedom of their homeland, they were simply fighting so that they, and they alone would have the power, let alone the rights to rule skyrim, with no concern for other races. They weren't proud heros fighting the thalmor, they were close-minded racist fools who blamed all races for the thalmor's deeds. So he realized that he would have to take matters into his own hands and be the one who destroyed the thalmor. TL:DR: Avenger stays neutral in civil war because he's not a racist (still kills all the thalmor he comes across though)
Stormcloakes by and lrg r not racist. Ulfric isn't. If u read a book in college of winterhold it reveals that the dark elves of windhelm r planing of taking over skyrim. Even high elves and some dark elves flat disagree with the elves of the grwy quarter. And when u consider that argonians and dark elves have some bad history. Was thinking of a build very similar to this. Same armor, race, main weapon, but: - More focused on stealth but can still fight effectively at range - Uses magic, but exclusively runes and atronachs/familiars/ash spawn - Also has an Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow for very strong sneak shots and elemental bolts, and Auriel's Bow for AoE sun damage and using the sun like Storm Call That's a lot for perks, but most builds I think up are made to use 80 instead of 60, considering how updates have made it much easier to level up your character without using skills unrelated to your own goals.
i watch all your fallout 4 and skyrim builds and even use a lot of your set ups to play some characters ive watched all your build videos and even enjoy the fallout stories you guys make so keep up the good work youll always have me as a subscriber
You guys should do some kind of build revolving around having as many summonable/revivable people around you at once and relying on your small army to do the fighting for you. I think that could be pretty sweet!
I like the character concept for sure. I've been working on a Thalmor hating Nord Ranger build with a similar background, and the tech aspect of this build is a good start. I'll likely end up in summat other than glass armor by end game, although Crosis is a nice choice I'd not have thought. It's also important to note with the build I'm working you WILL need One Hand skill, on account of he's going to become Meridia's Champion (because his mom, rather than killed by Thalmor, was killed by Undead). This gives me a lot of play room for character growth. I should probably plan all of it out like your vidya does, write up his full stuff...
Guys, your videos are TOP TIER - BUT: the audio is so quiet compared to anyone elses, if I want to understand a thing I need to pump it up and then the adds tear my ears to pieces every single time. Seriously. It's all perfect expect this little detail :D Sorry for rambling. Your content is much appreciated.
FudgeMuppet I have an idea for you two. Crossover builds. Try and take Skyrim builds, turn them into Fallout builds, and vice versa. Granted, certain allowances must be made. No magic in Fallout or blackpowder weapons in Skyrim but the challenge has been made. ;)
You know, I got a half look at the thumbnail for this and thought the guy was carrying a scythe at first. Actually looking att he video made me realise it was a bow, but got me thinking. I really hope we can get a scythe, sickle or khopesh style weapon in a future game. They could lead to some fun themed builds I'm sure.
Funnily enough I just thought of a build idea like this and never really saw this vid till now and realized how similar the two were lol. However my concept took a more sinister turn in the sense he was captured to be made into a sharpshooting assassin for the thalmor. He becomes a killing machine which eventually he escapes to Skyrim and etc etc. my spin on this build was more so that the thalmor have twisted his mind so much to the point where he is basically addicted to killing losing all sense of morality. Another take would be that he has killed so much that he doesn’t know what a life of not killing would be like and doesn’t want to pursue a passive life. This build ends up joining the dark brotherhood as well as the companions. I also thought it would be interesting for him to worship hircine as he enjoys the hunt but also due to the interesting lore behind the daedric prince and the bosmer, a return to the old ways so to speak. Ultimately this altered build blames the thalmor for his blood soaked, unredeemable life and will forsake even hiding in the shadows if it means killing off another thalmor. As for his political stance I made him impartial, to me this concept build was more focused on getting away from the thalmor as much as possible however obviously changed for the worse because of them.
Great build. This will work wonderfully with Kaidan and Mrissi as followers. I think the stormcloaks vs the empire should be a toss up: if he discovers the book on ulfric in the embassy before picking a side it may make more sense for him to side with the empire.
This build makes me want to play and roleplay in skyrim again, gonna try it out but for my personal liking i will add stealth and have 2 axes when im not being a sneaky thief archer
I did further RP on the Thalmor hating and joined the Dark Brotherhood in order to kill... Him. He and the Empire sucking up to the same organization that killed my family.
FudgeMuppet, you guys should make a build of Eslaf Erol, the main character of The Adventures of Eslaf Erol book series (Beggar, Thief, Warrior, King) written by Reven in the game. I always loved the story in the books, and I think there could be some very interesting roleplaying for a build of Eslaf. It fits with story of the Dragonborn, starting at the very bottom with nothing and rising to the top with everything.
Awesome work like always. I still think you should make a builds based off of each of the 13 standing stones, just has a side project. Would be interesting to see what you come up with.
Though not the Same build. (Tried this on the Monster Hunter build.) Those Replaying this one on the Anniversary Edition, or just looking for something new to try with this build. Try using The Brawler's Glass Gauntlets, on this one as an Alternative for melee use, if you want to forego the werewolf power, and also, the Ring of Wind. If used on this build, before, or after grabbing the Ranger Perk, in the Archery Tree can give this build Ridiculous Speed in combat. 😅😂👍🏼
You missed a great little backstory trick there. Had you made it a named Thalmor agent in Skyrim that killed his parents, that would provide a roleplaying narrative climax during the playthrough.
I know the video it's quite dated now, but still wanted to comment. I'm playing a very similar build with a dunmer. Had to make some tradeoff, bcs I wanted conjuration badly. So I left out the atronach stone and took the lord stone instead. I'm not going for Smithing, instead I'm picking conjuration for summons and for the bound bow and restoration for the necromage perk. The idea is that necromage plus vampire boosts the speed of provided by the quick shot effect, and the bound bow is even faster than Zephyr if I'm not mistaken. Using enchanting to boost the dmgs of the bound bow.
if you want this guy to be a speedy boi while in the thick of combat with his bow, use the slow time shout, time gets slowed for you, but surely to everyone else it looks like you used a shout that makes you move around at insane speeds, youde be moving around "fast" and avoiding loads of damage
The backstory got me thinking at 5:38 the character was collecting firewood and his family set a campfire, he doesn't follow the Green Pact? Another thought, does the Bosmer cook their food? Using magic or another source of heat Or they only eat raw meat, like a steak tartare or sashimi?
You should make a Thrall master build basically uses the autherium crown and the ritual stone to create an army of thralls. This character is a breton which specialises in conjuration and you can use whatever else you want for example Armour or robes, weapons or destruction magic
Adam Buker well.... no. Zephyr is not the "best bow" in most use cases, glass is sub optimal in terms of perk use, especially for an archer which won't get high light armor without training or need it and the enchantments can be better optimized, although that's nitpicky and arguable.
Adam Buker it's definitly the most fun bow to use, and it does put out more damage per second than any other bow if enchanted with chaos enchantment but it is outclassed by dragonborn bow anyway because in most cases, a chaos enchanted fully smithed legendary dragonbone bow will kill in one stealthy hit anything weaker than a legendary dragon. It does have an advantage on the dragonbone bow against more nimble opponents you can't use stealth against such as miraak and the ebony warrior. Edit:legendary dragon was intended to be an exaggeration, even if it is not far from the truth.
I'm a simple man, I see Thalmor being massacred, I like.
I do not hate the Thalmor. Like I don't hate rats. Both are vermins to be exterminated.

if you want this guy to be a speedy boi while in the thick of combat with his bow, use the slow time shout, time gets slowed for you, but surely to everyone else it looks like you used a shout that makes you move around at insane speeds, youde be moving around "fast" and avoiding loads of damage
we needed that. Thanks.
Love this build I'm a fan of the bosmer race
The backstory got me thinking at 5:38 the character was collecting firewood and his family set a campfire, he doesn't follow the Green Pact?
Another thought, does the Bosmer cook their food? Using magic or another source of heat
Or they only eat raw meat, like a steak tartare or sashimi?
Could you please do a modded battlemage build, with ordinator, Aurora, and imperious.
Nice build fudge
Glass armor looks amazing
HAY! THIS WAS MY FAV BUILD TO PLAY!!!
You should make a Thrall master build basically uses the autherium crown and the ritual stone to create an army of thralls.
This character is a breton which specialises in conjuration and you can use whatever else you want for example Armour or robes, weapons or destruction magic
FudgeMuppet is the best!!!!!!!!
This build feels like it could've been one of your "best" builds like the best battlemage/theif, this could've been "best archer"
Adam Buker well.... no. Zephyr is not the "best bow" in most use cases, glass is sub optimal in terms of perk use, especially for an archer which won't get high light armor without training or need it and the enchantments can be better optimized, although that's nitpicky and arguable.
Eliran Tuil eh I just likw zepher over all because its the fastest
