Chicken - 500 gms
Cream - 2 to 3 tbsps
Desi ghee / clarified butter - 1 tbsp
Oil - 4-5 tbsps or as needed
Salt - to taste
WHOLE SPICES
Cinnamon stick - 1" piece
Green cardamoms - 4
Bay leaves - 1 or 2
FOR GRINDING:
Coriander leaves - small bumch
Onions - 2 medium
Green chillies - 2 or 3
Ginger - 1" piece
Garlic - 7 to 8 cloves
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Water - 1/2 cup or as needed
FOR YOGURT MIXTURE
Yogurt - 3 or 4 tbsps
Kasoori methi - 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
FOR GARNISHING
Tomato wedges
Lemon slices
Coriander leaves
