Do you know the Gentleman’s magnificent beard? It is a vanity item that you can only get by wearing the Gentleman’s beard in an accessory slot for a long period of time. I had no idea it existed until I tried researching all items....
Another old gen item: heart arrows. These were arguably the strongest ammo in the game, maybe even the strongest weapon. In February, you could buy them from the merchant. What makes them special is that they would stun almost any enemy that they hit. You could kill the dungeon guardian by stun locking it with heart arrows
Ooh! I remember getting the cooked marshmallow when I was younger and used to play the old mobile version of Terraria! I didn't even know it took 15 minutes to get! I must've been really bored that day, lol. Another pretty rare old-gen Terraria item that I think could fit this list is the roman candle. It's basically a reskinned shotgun that shoots a spread of firework rockets instead of bullets. It's sold by the demolitionist during the holiday season. And it's also apparently a magic weapon!? Talk about an odd item.
I would add the "Advanced Combat Techniques: Volume II", you have to buy a spell tome from the wizard and throw it into shimmer for a consumable that permanently increases town NPCs attack and defense
glad to say the only one I didn’t know was the golf chest, probably because I have literally NEVER golfed lol
Yea I’ve never golfed either lmao

I have 4.6 thousand hours on this game. Imo, I think the Star Anise throwables and Release Doves are some of the most forgettable items in the game
