I love that you didn't place blame for the rail on anyone person or company, and said we as a whole group missed this detail. That's a great company to work for, or with. I have seen too many bosses try to save face by throwing their help under the bus when most of the time the one in charge had missed a detail or given the responsibility to someone not fit for the task. anyways. Its refreshing to see.

    Beautiful build and details. 👍
Say what you want about the kick-out flashing, but having the roof edge and the window situated like that would bother the hell out of me. A tiny little kick-out detail is not going to protect that window from New England weather. Hope it holds up.

Boral can be annoying to work with…specifically filling and sanding nail holes because it seems to slightly affect the factory finish texture and always shows through the paint where you sanded. do you guys ever use P5 (brand) trim? we’ve been using it for “authentic” wood trim instead of PVC

I agree, the guy who called out your floors is a chump. No house--new, old, or ancient--has dead flat floors. Any carpenter that knows his trade will scribe and back bevel his baseboard trim. Okay, maybe the laser is overkill, but in a good way!
