To people talking about how annoying takamori was... please remember that the girls were the first of their kind, being the ones to kick off the English generation. Those kind of ships were very popular in Japan with other members so it was natural for them to lean into that. Especially with Calli and Kiara being in Japan together at the time, it was natural that it became them to play the role of 'couple'. Kiara gets way too much flak for all that when I'm sure it was a decision between multiple parties and a lot has changed with all that anyway. Kiara is a lot closer with other members these days in more natural way, everyone found their footing in EN after a while.
In your opinion. For example, how long do you poke at a person. They tell you, point blank they hate this. You continue poking them. Do you blame the person getting angry saying "I don't like this" or do you blame the people laughing outside who possibly told you to poke them? Or do you take the blame since admittedly you chose to poke the person. Now imagine that person was in fact a reasonable part of possibly 100k-200k your audience at the time. Also consider that the same amount roughly of the other girls fans. You poke these people for well over a full year? Maybe more. I ask you, how much flak is deserved, in saying this knowing full well it's not exactly something you can quantify. I personally believe she wanted to do it regardless of what was popular or possibly covers intentions. That it she is just that good if an actor entertainer (which I do think she is to be fair) to do this for so long. The rewards or consequences are all hers for the taking. The early kiara/mori stuff put me off kiara entirely, and mori for a while, and even all of Myth for a bit. I ended up watching more JP girls. And when she started interacting with JP more I was like "Oh god no"
Frankly, same. I couldn't stand the whole shipping bs going around which was a big part of her personality or something(or so it felt like to me, like god damn every moment possible its all she fed into). Not that- that was entirely their fault. I really enjoy watching Calli and her music. But back then it was like every moment they were around just became a takamori ohhh look at the annoying girl throw love bombs while the other one deflects but in a tsun way. Which would even happen during bigger collabs with all the members.... It really put me off Kiara for the longest time. But nowadays I enjoy her streams/vods occasionally if its something I'm interested in or when I have time. She still has this way of speaking that sounds incredibly self centered but I think thats more about how it comes off vs how she actually means it? for lack of a better way of saying it lmao, after all- everyone who seems to meet her says shes a really caring and loving person so I think thats genuinely who she is despite how she comes off(to me). I think Kiara's personality is just not really my jam at the end of the day but I respect her a lot for the things shes been able to do and achieve. Like this show for example, its a great idea and really helps with understanding the other members and even her. I genuinely think she- like the other girls was an important pillar for hololive EN and maybe the whole company as well even with my criticisms of the early days stuff lmao. Though I never had a moment like "oh god no" when she interacted more with JP. If anything I was more excited she was using her skills in some level of JP language where she could.

I think PekoMoona was what finally turned me around on the "shipping" thing. That was _organic,_ and Kiara _waltzing_ into the middle of that was _hilarious._
