Amazing….. Overwhelming…. Even Peter is in awe! It’s hard to believe what we’ve seen on his trip. Thanks to Peter and his staff member for making this series of videos!!!
Thank you for this video. It's 0.35 in the morning and I can't sleep. I was having a panic attack so I opened this video to see all the beautiful trees, listen to Peter and try to relax😢 It really helped. Take care of yourselves, everyone
Please consider a making a video on what you have learned from your Taiwan tour and what you would incorporate into or modify for your own bonsai or nursery. Thank you!
Amazing garden and trees! Great tour. I couldnt help but say to myself the whole time what climate id rather live in and to be honest nothing will take me away from my japanese maples😂😂😂🍁🍁🍁. Amazing trees over there though. I just love seeing the seasons change and await the maple leafs to bud out in the spring. Another great video
Lovely tour I guess almost overwhelming and not easy to take in at once. Must be fantastic to live in areas and countries like this where the growth is strong and you can sort of make room for experimentation on styles in a manner you cannot do in Europe.
Hi Peter Chan, thank you to take us along! Absolutly stunnign! I extremly enjoyed the Podocarpus. Interesting technic to guide the branches along a thick wire. Good to know and remember if needed! What a trip you did!!!!
Indeed Peter, a spectacular set of nurseries. They definitely have the climate to grow trees like these. I do think that if they were growing in a more temperate climate their trees would look pretty much like yours and be of about the same sizes. At one point you were talking about how those trees were formed and kept about twisting and growing. Isn't that what you do? You didn't say anything about the really huge tree at 27:27. In the background there is a SHADE tree over 12 feet high pretty much covered in blooms. Now, that's the one I'd like to have in my garden. Thank you for showing us all those beauties.
_THANK YOU 🙏 😔 🙏_ Dr. Chan, plants, nature, all creation is _truely humbling._ There is so much diversity. It is amazing how large thes trees are and the growing methods leading to this. Did you guys note the ramification, these trees are _vigerous._ I probably miss it, but what are they feeding the trees? And Taiwan is sunnier than I had thought. I love traveling with you Dr. Chan❗ 🎄 🙏 🖖 🙏 😔 🙏 🌲
Can we have some video about podocarpus maintenance and wiring? It's not much around on TH-cam about them, and they are one of cheapest and very easy to get actually
Wow!! part six and yet another mind blowing experience, thank's Peter for sharing your trip with us!! I guess that the South of England, even sunny Sussex is not quite hot enough to carry out any of their techniques?
Design meetings because market conditions have Jack yelling at different market types 🥰🤤👌people love natural bonsai trees they see people love natural beauty 🥰🥰👍
“Happy New Year!” Peter Interesting bonsai garden. Thank you for taking us to visit this unusual style of bonsai Garden. Learn a lot just by looking and observing. Thank you Peter! 🙏🙏🙏 May “2024” bring you peace, joy, and happiness for the new year. “Cheer!” 🍺
Excellent series boys. Josh, I heard you talkng about the smashed bricks for for a growing medium (2:01), I never thought of that. Great tip. And Peter: look at what you can achieve in those warmer climates it's amazing, but then you loose the oppertunity to grow Japanese maples. Is the trade off worth it?
With your particular interest in literati/bunjin, do you collect the kind of art you often mention in videos when making that kind of tree or appreciating the work of others in that style?
@@peterchan3100 It would be wonderful to see more of that in the videos. I liked the sunrise video you put up recently. Also, quick question: In California, when pine limbs die or get damaged, they take a long time to distress and shed bark. Is there any major downside to not stripping jin in order to mimic that look? (I'm guessing it might leave the tree open to disease.)
So Peter, Your "growing field" is as good as these. Your Bonsai "for sale"are as good as these. Different climate, different kind of "sophistication." Different "creds." Here in the USA we think of a 1968 Eldorado Cadillac as a really big car but I wouldn't drive one. You know. Or the difference between a Harley Davidson fat boy and a Honda Transalp in the motorcycle world. More manageable is better and these plants show it. 〰These guys are just a bunch of Show Offs.〰. (another term from the USA). 〰Just saying.〰 〰.〰〰 ✨🌿✨🌳✨🦋✨🌿🌳👍🌳🌿✨🦋✨🌳✨🌿✨〰〰〰. (from New Hampshire)
Imagine the possibilities! If we don’t have to wait for new branches to form but we can simply graft any of the numerous branches we trim off when pruning?! What a learning experience this channel truly is. Thank you Peter for bringing us along

Peter I must say your humility and excitement. Bring me much joy..... we aren't even in kindergarten. So great words.
Mr. Peter looks like he’s about to drop the hottest mixtape of the New Year in the thumbnail 😂🫡 the sunglasses look nice!!
That must have been a bucket list trip for Josh!!!
I am not really a fan of these larger bonsai styles- but, I can appreciate the time, effort, patience, and work that went into making them. Fun tour
Well you have beautiful maples for your colder climate.

I would love to know the variety of podocarpus that has the 'small leaves' that they are using for grafting.
Right, my Podocarpus is going into a huge pot this year and into the polytunnel.

I would consider it certainly
Seeing is believing
Hi just watched this video and didn’t quite understand what the pot on the pot is for could you please explain that again thank you
Is it better to bring junipers inside for the winter I wonder
With your particular interest in literati/bunjin, do you collect the kind of art you often mention in videos when making that kind of tree or appreciating the work of others in that style?
Yes - my home is full of Asian art.

In some cases they don’t wire the tree, but, they tree the wire? That is forward planning
