This is (by feeling) the first time that i see an american saw guy, who puts down parts carefully instead of "smashing" them on the bench. And the bench is well sorted with tools and parts. Thank you for that!
Cool video. Would love to see a dump comparison between the old 462 vs the revised 462. Would be interesting to know what stihl did to change/improve the design
Dang Joe .. You scared us disappearing like that for a month. Almost thought you fell off the same cliff as that Johns Custom Saws guy..😬😂 But seriously like the new camera set-up!!
Nice work Joe! I had Brisco's 361 videos playing while I was cleaning up the 361 that I have been cutting with for the past month, good saws. It would be interesting to see the dyno results of both saws and compare them both running a 28" bar with a work grind on the chain. It would be nice if someone would come up with a different air box filter arrangement for the ms361 to be able to run a different air filter with the stock cover. Hope to see more of this saw with the changes to the pipe, extra spicy 10 horse 361?
If I were Joe, something I would do is make saws like this, have all the mods done and list them on his site with the dyno numbers and graph printouts included.. have multiple models, say like 362, 572, 395, 550xp, etc.. I'd buy one of these saws here (hopefully you're a little high on your guess and it'd be less than $2000)
After all said and done with the 361, it would be interesting to put a 28 inch bar on it and race a stock 881 with a 28 inch bar and cut a 28 inch log and see which one is faster! I always like the content.
That's pretty dagom impressive! What's a fella gotta do to get on a list for saw work? I wanna see what u could do on my 362! I've filled out the stuff on ur website a few months back and still haven't hurd back. Like ur new work station, should be pretty minty when its all done!
Nice work, love your channel! What’s the details on the bigger carb please? Also what was the higher flow filter you mentioned on the baseline? Just the mesh style filter or something else?
So I was BSing with a scrapper dude last summer and roaming over the crap in the back of his truck and all of a sudden my eye catches an expansion chamber in the pile of scrap metal! I ask him if he was really going to throw it in the scrap pile and he said yes! So I gave him a much heavier piece of metal to make up for the pipe. As I pulled it out of the pile I couldn't believe what it was! A bitchin hand made Leo Vince titanium expansion chamber with a really nice silencer on it as well! It has a small dent In the piece before it starts conning out that i believe would need to be removed anyway because of the length of it. I looked it up to see how much it would cost to purchase new and it was $720 bucks! I want to install it on my Sachs-Dolmar 120 super and see if it wakes the ol girl up a bit but I'm worried that I will screw it up and ruin the damn thing! 🙄

My favorite saw. One of the best stihl ever made..
I better be quiet, prices will raise out of control for them.
Super legit, that's really good gains.

Now alls we need to do is start putting reed valves on m to exspand the expansion
I have a stock 361 impressive gains, what would it ballpark cost to have this done from stock.
33% gain is awesome just from porting!
WOW! I want my 361 like that👍

Will do thanks joe.

hey man could u make a vid on dyno with the stihl and aspen etc premixed enviro alkylate fuels vs normal selfmixed gasoline?
How do I get one built for me
👍👍
That’s very cool , to move the graph with a pipe is it as simple as going bigger volume or smaller volume ? Or is there more to it ?
Nor about lengths and diameters than true "volume" from my understanding. I am going to try shortening the header and see where that gets us.
@@dynojoemods2764 look forward to seeing the results
I need it!!!
Which carb did you change to?
The larger hd carb have to swap the shafts around etc.
How do you go about getting a saw dynoed?. I have a built g660 I'd like to get tested later this summer. Glad to see you back love the videos man.
Send me an email/check out the website.

Hey Joe. Not sure if I missed it in the vid but what carb did you use on this 361??
Joe, what carburetor did you use?
Want to say the larger HD carb from 44/46 but still stock boot
