The unsprung weight makes the motor spin up quicker?

fasthracing light weight gives u more confidence on twisty roads . And more easier to stop the bike

I hope you ride one and tell us how it compares to the Kawazaki Z900RS. The kawazaki has been my next bike to buy but since this came out I'm not 100% sure anymore. I have done two test rides on a Z900RS and will ride this Triumph next Saturday ;)

I’ve ridden both. I much prefer the higher revving engine in the Kawasaki. It lends itself a lot more to faster riding. The triumph looks a bit better though and the brakes were twice as good. I wish the triumph revved higher. It doesn’t though so I’ll probably buy the cheaper z900rs and upgrade the brakes

@@capoverdepires Two similar bikes in terms of style, but if you want to enjoy the bike without always being twice over the speed limit, the Triumph is clearly the better bike. If you enjoy (and don't mind the tickets) speeding, the Kawa is the best choice. I have a hard time controlling myself on inline 4 engines and therefore I have removed them from my options a while ago. I did try the T120 and the Z900RS, both brilliant engines, but designed for very different styles of riding. You can still speed on the Triumph, but simply that you'll be able to enjoy it more cruising around. The Kawa at legal speeds is a bit boring and lacks character.

@@capoverdepires nice! I have done two test rides on the z900RS and will ride the triumph on Saturday. here in Australia the kawasaki is 16K and the triumph 19k. So I'd be more inclided to like the z900 :)
interesting you metion the brakes... I didn't feel like it was lacking anything, it felt appropriate to me.. but I didn't test it super hard.

@@Speedytrip Damn this is an interesting discussion. I have done two test rides on the kawasaki and didn't have the impression I had to ride fast... but I'll sure pay attention to that when I ride the triumph. I ride a Harley Davidson to and from work and feel like the bike doesn't like the slow traffic at times... the engine doesn't like to go slow and it's hard to find the right gear to just pass thru traffic. The Kawasaki was super smooth in slow speeds and made me feel like I would enjoy the commute a bit more

you should have a test ride to show how the nice bike is to enjoy

It's a beautiful bike, and it rides superbly. It's definitely on my shopping list. Some say that it could do with the brakes and suspension from the Thruxton R, but I disagree. Actually, it is more akin to the standard Thruxton with its axial front brake and non-adjustable suspension, but it is none the worse for that; top motor cycle.

Nice looking bike with the ugliest license plate holder extension. WTF. I can't believe they ruined the rear like that. Looks cool otherwise. My Street Twin was a great little bike that always started on 1st crank. Not sure why the Speed Twin didn't fire right away. Got a Honda CB1100 that I absolutely love, but that Triumph was sweet. Most fun little bike I ever had. Wasn't good for 2 up riding. The exhaust sound was perfect.

Saracen GotFisted Without the 70s bike you wouldn't have today's bikes, nothing wrong with the 70s bikes.
