Beautiful bike and the refresh is excellent. It's just a pity someone mucked it up by sticking the gearchange on the wrong side. These should be right foot change as standard and that's where I'd want it if I could afford one!

These bikes were rarely ordered with left hand gear change and one down four up configuration. These came from the factory in this spec.

Standard gear position was right hand side, same as all of the UK road bikes up until mid to late '70's and all of the GP race bikes like TZ700/750, RG500 Suzuki, Honda GP bikes like the six cylinder RC166, 174 . 181 etc. and the works MV's. Many of the Japanese race bikes had the option of putting the gear change on the left side.
