Send most tanks through the southern path's forests, kill any units down there ASAP, and spread things out for the recons. Grit can't touch you without a spotter for the forest, so then you can reach the right side, block off the silos (maybe), and hopefully dash into the center and drown Grit with your (mostly stable) tank mass to get his rockets (maybe use SCOP?). Honestly Adder would have better odds if he just avoided the roads more.
It’s just a bad tactical decision by black hole, I would have send copters or bombers, and maybe a few t-copters too capture the properties and fire the missiles
If you could play as Adder vs someone else playing Grit, avoiding the rockets would be surprisingly easy. Rush the recons out to stop Grit's infantry from using the silos would be a start, then simply avoiding Grit's rockets' range until you get to the entrance to his base would be simple enough to win.
I just had an idea, the early missions give the player a huge advantage, what if you tried beating them as Black Hole. I mean even the first mission has Flak outnumbered 2-1 lol
All hail Max's artillery! You sounded so terrified and yet it still ended up being completely fine lol. Good thing the missiles were on the right! For some reason I don't remember those at all. I don't think I ever fired the missiles and just used the infantry as mountain scouts. Keep up the unique challenges!
This was a fun watch. I love the challenges videos and ngl, at the start I thought "it can't be that bad", but seeing's adder turn at day 2 I changed my mind :p Yeah, closing the gate with recon is the way to go, if those didn't exist, this would prolly be an easy win for the black hole army. :D
@blazechaos212 actually it's not the defense but the movement that would be tricky, due to the Neotanks having more movement they reach you sooner which makes it considerably harder
The mechs for the most part should be the priority. You could also have made this a bit better for Max by switching the locations of the artilleries and recons. A max artillery is basically never going to reposition itself well among the forests so moving them closer to the center lets them cover an extra square as the md tanks wind through the mountains after they pass. Realistically, only the mechs will kill your rockets and if push comes to shove, once the mechs are dead, you'd have the ability to stack stuff on the hq to be gunned down by the rockets. The terrain is just that advantageous.
The lore: Andy gave a map to max due to his paranoia that flak is tracking his movement due to a radio max was listening to jumbling up “I want a large double pepperoni” into “Main battalion moving into mountains”, but the map was wrong and while adder was waiting for grit to try and turn him, max appeared thinking it was a black hole base and here we are
Pretty sloppy not checking what you can do before acting. Moving that infantry before checking that rocket at the bottom was a poor move. Will see how the rest goes
Given how lop sided this mission really is, now I’m wonder how black hole can even beat this mission lol

You should try the advanced campaign version, it features a bunch of NeoTanks instead of some of the Medium Tanks
That's not much of a difference. NeoTanks only have slight edge in the defense department.

Challenge idea: can you beat the game if every enemy commander is Sturm? Modding required.
I knew immediately that this challenge would be, in fact, quite easy, as the map is just set-up to be completely lop-sided and unwinnable for Adder.
