Backstrap Fever: A DIY Alaskan Sitka Blacktail Deer Hunt

    We traversed through more than 32" of snow that fell to seek our elusive blacktail. We crossed streams, climbed over and under fallen trees, showshoed up hills, and found ourselves at a small lake with a good vantage point. Watch BackStrap Fever to see if our efforts payed off.     Tough hunt snowshoeing. He responded to doe call? What caliber rifle? Your back pack looks rough shape what happened to it?

      Yeah it was a great hunt. He came plowing through the snow after that call. 30.06 tikka 175 grain Federal Terminal Ascent. Luckily I had a different backpack on after the other one got tore up by the bear.
