I just bought this dashcam a few days ago. The camera is fine but the app sucks. I can't download files. I tried to download just 4 photos (not videos). After 10 minutes, it still says "0% downloading". Have you tried downloading files?
I will have to say yes to that. I can't really see any reason for that it should not. I have several other dashcams, and this one feels like it's made of a better plastic then my other ones, that again I have been using for many years now and none of them show any sign of sun damage.

Yes you can. The middle button is an on/off switch.
