Please explain to me how this form of English benefits the black community.
Slaves were not allowed to be educated past the things they needed to get the jobs done that they were forced to do, so they weren’t taught proper grammar skills. Now that blacks are free to be the best educated on the planet, why hold back and be “proud” to keep sounding like uneducated slaves? That doesn’t get high paying jobs. Have you ever heard a news anchor, a CEO or a high paid executive talk that way? It may sound “cool”, but it’s hurting millions of good people from getting the jobs and money they deserve and people like you who glorify this are not helping.
