Not sure this one hit me, since I have watched them with the grandparents before. But it made me think of the times when I was a bit older than Amelia, but not much. And my grandparents on one side had a older dog that loved me and I loved him. Though he did have trouble getting around by the time I was old enough and I had my own dog then too, to really get to know him. But that same dog had guarded me when I was Nathan's age from under my crib when I was asleep in it. I wish I knew where he was buried, but it has been so many decades, those who would have known are long gone themselves.
