I am excited to launch my most recent eDesign, Alpha-Blocks! A collection of 25* blocks depicting the Alphabet. This is a fun quirky design to challenge your appliqué skills, fabric painting and free-motion quilting.
In this video I will show you how to paint and quilt your Crab block, how to use Lumiere and Opulence fabric paints, as well as free-motion quilting styles.
These are not your typical Alphabet blocks, they all have the Godden sense of humour. A is for armadillo with avocado; U is for unicorn riding a unicycle holding umbrellas; R is for rhinoceros reading a book under a rainbow and M is for moose enjoying a martini served by a meerkat! All ages will enjoy these unusual unexpected designs and enjoy the alpha-fun details. Using my Alpha-Blocks eDesigns, create a fun quilt to keep you cosy and warm. Use a single letter block design for a pocket on a child’s bag or use the letters of their name to create a bunting for their room. The possibilities are endless.
*You might be wondering how I squeezed 25 letters into 25 blocks? Well as quilters we like square numbers, so X makes a guest appearance with W!

What do you put under your fabric to absorb any extra paint that goes through to the back of the fabric?
🤗👏
Will you be doing more paintings of the alphabets? I've been looking everyday!
Hi Nancy! No sorry, just the first three blocks for now. However, those who have purchased my eDesign can join a private online Facebook group where my students are sharing all their finished blocks from A-Z
Helen godden, I am subscribed but cannot find ABC videos or the group. (Only the A.)
Hi Beryl, I have shared the first three letters A, B C quilting and painting tutorials here on TH-cam. Once you purchase the pattern, you can join in our private facebook group where students can share their ideas and blocks.
Hope hellen is OK
Do you let the paint dry for 24 hours before ironing?
about 2 hours. Just feel to with palm of hand; if it is cold, it is wet. Iron from back first them front.
