My grandpa just passed in January, my dad is around but never will or has taught me anything. My grandpa was the closest father figure I ever had and he taught me everything he could. Thankfully since he’s passed on your TH-cam has made me feel like I’m a part of your family and you have taught me so much through all of your videos and made me feel like I’ve got another family. Like you, I am a creature of 'habit' and 'routine'. Earlier this week, my daughter had a very sore throat, was coughing and called in sick to work. She doesn't miss work often and had 'sick days' available. After she called in to her employer, she said to me. "Dad, I'm almost 19 and cannot remember a single day you have missed work, not one day.". Like you, I own a small business, automotive and diesel repair. Fact is, I have to be there. It is nearly impossible for me to take a day off. Owning a small business has its rewards, but comes with a lot of responsibility and drawbacks, in my opinion, dealing with the government being the worst. God Bless and hope you enjoy the winter.

You are truly blessed... in MANY ways. Those necklaces are beautiful, they appear to be .925 sterling silver, as the chains also. I’ve mentioned before, my father didn’t lift a stinking finger for me, after popping my second small block at 17, I rebuilt my own. NOT A CLUE... I bought that “How to rebuild your small block Chevy” book at Nationwise Auto Parts... It was my bible and not one page escaped my greasy fingers. Took a couple months, going to high school and working at Bob Evans raking in $3.10 an hour lol... The only input dear old Dad was to tell me to SHUT IT OFF!!!! because I was breaking the cam in on open headers. Sheesh... So Billy and Tommy, next time The Old Man chirps up, stand to attention and be thankful. Scotty from Lancaster.
Well man, I'm about your age with back problems myself, so I can understand where your at. Sure seems to me that as hard as you've worked all you life, you deserve to rest that back some. Keep being genuine and let us, your TH-cam family help ya out a little bit. We love you guys for being real, for being genuine! The world needs more people like y'all! Keep kicking ass!
my "old man" used to tell me you work hard when your young so you don't have too when your older. Your doing just that, doesn't make you less of a man because your going to be sharing knowledge you earned when you were young with people through a camera. Happy thanksgiving to all of you and happy birthday to Billy
Try not to let this become a chore. Seems like it’s good therapy for you. It’s good therapy for me, watching. We work long days and spend nights in the shop, and I watch early in the morning or before bed or while I’m taking a dump, and it’s always therapeutic.
thankx you ole man...Im a stranger i know but man you're videos help me alot. I dearly miss my kids and these videos keep me pushing to have a better relationship with them...thankx again...
You are an old school provider, you do and did what you had to do to support your family. I can relate, this what I had to do to support my family. I am 65 years old and hava a son who is 45 years old.
It don't make much sense, but I'm 26 and relate to do much of what you say. Besides the 4 or 5 channels in youtube I follow i don't do any social media and don't know much about technology. This is now my favorite channel to listen to while trucking down the road.
It’s awesome that you guys have built some of the fastest street trucks around and your telling people how to do it with no attitude just humble advise and love for the sport!
Happy belated Thanksgiving ole man Bill, Miss Vicki, Billy, Tommy, and of course we could not forget June pup and Chevy... may the Lord continue watching over you and yours amen... Before my dad passed he always used to tell me work smarter not harder.
I watch you often! I think you’re the type of guy that got me started in racing. It’s not only about building a race car, but the experience and the people. You guys are awesome!
I completely understand health difficulties Bill, three time cancer survivor myself. I worked as a power plant control room operator for 35 years until cancer disabled me and retired me. I have had a muscle car most of my life, including 6 different mustangs and still have a project 98 that I am going to put a big inch Ford in it with Kasse heads. I guess you can tell I'm a Ford guy, always have been, as I guess you have always been a chevy guy. Much power to ya and many blessings to you and your family, Happy Thanksgiving!
You know what, the Gimbel is making the vids more interesting. Even when it wanders, it's good👍 Im an ex trucker, been in logistics for 30+ years. In the mud, snow, etc. I feel you. Educating folks about racing and racecar building is a big deal. Running an all mechanical combo that wins is a big deal. And 46? Huh.....Im 52.
Good for you man, eff those snow plows =) been wanting to make a channel for 15 yrs, just now got a shop. just turned 47. hell you give me hope haha. If i would have recorded all the auto repair i did on concrete / gravel / rain / snow / shine just keeping my pieces of shit on the road so i could go to "work" or for friends and family i probably would have a solid channel by now. You are still working, just not the down and dirty you are used to. I enjoy watching you. so good for you. really like you and your family, genuinely. Think you are a good bunch of folk that i can relate to.
It is great to see your perspective and honesty on things. I am 47 and can not relate to the bullshit these days. I have a1972 Nova with a 385 stroker in it 500hp was great 15yrs ago. But not now. Love your channel. God bless you and your family.
Your a great person and take great care of your boys / wife. As a 43 year old father of 3. I know what you mean. I’ve worked since I was 16. Thanks for what u do
Hey brother I really appreciate how honest you are and how much your family means to you. Most of us are out here struggling day to day just trying to make a better life that we enjoy living. Man I know I am but it doesn't always seem to work out that way. You can be self employed or in a union but non of that matters. God giveth and he may taketh away. At the end of the day family is the only thing that matters. I personally know this to be true so watching your channel in all honesty keeps me going. I'm not kissing no one's ass but when you are struggling and feel like whatever you try to do blows up in your face. It's nice to go to your channel and see there is a light at the end of the tunnel and to keep trucking on. So I'm thankful for you guy's doing what your doing and appreciate all that you give us. Keep up the good work boy's and don't worry "Old man" you'll get the hang of it when it comes to new technology. You'll get it eventually.lol. Shit i just wish I could work on engines as well as you don't .
I've said it before but I'll say it again. I'm super grateful for the information and behind the scenes stuff you share. I've had a nitrous ls combo for years stuck in the low 6s. Due to what I've learned from you all I have purchase a 400 sbc block and various components to try a turbo set up.
Loved the explanation about your names. I’m a junior and the joke in our house was when my mother would call Jack, we both would answer. She did get even though. She got to calling “old Jack” and “young Jack”. I thought it was funny, my father not so much 😀. Good family times, long gone now.
Believe it or not Old Man, you provide a special service to the millions of people who watch your videos, Instead of you providing a more physical or labor intensive service to say the hundreds involved with your business. In my opinion you are more useful than you will ever know. Put it like this... In my sorry life (it is what it is right now) I get to look forward to watching your content and try to feel accomplished in some way, shape, or form. That's how useless I am. So hang in there and know your channel, for me, provides more than just a video to watch. It helps to keep me sane during these crazy times. Thank you for sacrificing so much of yourself and time to provide the quality of work in the way that you do. Happy Thanksgiving SRC family and friends!!!
Ol man you have to realize, were just as thankful for you and your channel. I've learnd so much of the little detail stuff that holds my attention. Keep going, your doing great.
U are doing an amazing job at this TH-cam thing. I think the reason U are getting a great amount of followers and views is because so many ppl can relate to u. U are down to earth and most importantly humble. Not many ppl these days are humble. I am a father or 2 boys (11 and 8) and I can only pray that when my kids are the same age as your kids that I have a relationship with them like u do your kids. U are a great role model to fathers out there. Keep up the great work!!!
It's nice to watch videos with honest people, it's hard to admit when you make a mistake and even harder to tell the truth. Most people are the blame game. Detonation is a problem all us Racers have had. School is not cheap. Keep up the good work
Its time to sit back and relax, you've earned it, enjoy life while u got the chance. But I understand it hard to slow down, when u know nothing is free in this life. God bless.
Doing a great job OLD MAN!! I for one am thankful that you are bringing all of us along on the journey. I have a idea what you could do in the winter time!! You should build motors for those that want it done. You are very knowledgeable about it.. think about it!!
Just wanted to say all you need to do is keep being who you are, that's what ur giving back. Record what u want an have fun with it. Teach some kids how to work a carb 😎
Try not to be so hard on yourself for not working yourself into the ground. My grandfather told us before he passed, we work too hard and need to enjoy life. I took his words for granted. My father was a lot like you Bill, worked hard every day with no time for himself. He passed suddenly at 53 from a brain tumor. (Unknown) After that my grandfather's words hit me hard. From then on I work to live, not live to work. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
Really has to make an old man appreciate the work that his boy has put into building his channel over the years. Everything seems easy from the outside looking in. Your a lucky man. Youve created a hell of a family.
I think it’s great that you’re like me and actually share about what you’re running and not hiding anything. You’re becoming one of my favorite TH-cam personalities and I hope we cross paths one day. Keep it up old man 😜
I know you wanna keep things the same on the trucks and it's a smart move. I think you'd be really happy with a 10.1 compression sbc f1x-12 procharger on a New Era gear drive with accessory drive for the alternator. They are capable of over 2k rwhp.
In the same place , worked side work for 2 years to get where I am and it got to the point where I cringed when phone rang. Now I'm not right altho I'm able to spend more time with the fam, something missing. Love the videos and thankyou!
I like you have worked full time since 16 , I worked 3 to midnight washing dump trucks then fast forward I run the shop till he retired learned a lot over those years . But all I know is work I can't just set and relax that drives me crazy . I have to stay busy.
Bill (the old man) lol I appreciate what you do for all of us !!! I’m at that crossroads now for making the jump to work for myself or keep working for the man . Thanks again
Filming a you tube video, editing and all that is work, I will be watching your videos and I am 57 and feel like a kid, not all the time but you know what I mean, young at heart.
Been there done the same thing even without nitrous just turned distributor too far and destroyed the pistons. You have an amazing family and the channel is amazing as well. You guys are all becoming legends. I love what u do and seeing your faith it helps me to stay strong in the lord. Just keep being you and we all will be here. Happy Thanksgiving hope it was great and happy birthday to Billy the kid
Changes are one of just a few things the universe guarantees to provide throughout life. The experience is supposed to be overwhelming. That means you’re paying proper attention to it. Keep up the good work.
You're a true inspiration to the street racing world and humanity. Love every one of your vids. Happy Thanksgiving. I very much appreciate you and the family.
To fix the lights in the dash of that Chevy pickup , pull out the dimmer switch and clean it off the dielectric grease gets all dusty and the contacts get messed. You can just wipe it all off and put it back or re apply some new grease . Love the channel
Happy Thanksgiving! Bill, the one thing I keep hearing in all your videos is "giving back". You have a great amount of knowledge that you have acquired over your years. Now, God has made a way for you to show the fruits of your labor. I'll tune in to every video you make to learn as much as I can. Thank you so much for your time.
I can't say happy thanks giving old man because I'm going on 65 myself. LOL I just want to tell you that I have followed Billy for some time and I started following you when you started your channel and I look forward to seeing the next video. From Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Old man. Please consider yourself very blessed. Don't even start to feel useless. This is food for thought 2010 l woke up got ready went outside did 3 hours of yard work came in sat down felt fine my lovely wife came in the room ask if.i feel okay Within 20 minutes I am in the ER having a stroke.Iwas 53 great health. I was like you worked hard every day. Could operate any and all equipment class A CDL CERTIFIED WELDER and husband.THE STROKE TOOK ENOUGH OF MY VISION THAT I AM LEGALLY BLIND SO COUNT EVERY DAY AS A BLESSING. !!!!!! I GUESS WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY IS you can't feel sorry FEEL BLESSED
I'm glad we're getting you out of the snow this year. You've clearly paid your dues, now it's time to take this by the horns and have some fun with it.
You've worked your whole life and raised a wonderful family. Now you're bringing your knowledge and experience to a world wide audience. You deserve all the good things, that life brings. I personally thank you and have a great respect for you.
People like watching you and I hope you read this because you are real and you can tell by your attitude the way you speak the way you carry yourself in the way you have taught your boys how to carry their selves very polite manner merry Christmas and I wish you all very well
Keep up the great work y’all 👌🏽 I enjoy this channel just as much as the boys 💯 me and my dad were like best friends and we used to race when I was younger. I lost my dad a few years ago, and it’s just heartwarming watching y’all do this stuff as a father sons team 🙏🏼
Bill, you are only as old as you feel. I know some days you might feel older than others. There are days I feel 30, limber and powerful, and days I feel 60 with the hurts hurting. Our Regimental Surgeon told me to take some "me time" and get my broke stuff fixed. Take care of yourself. Happy Birthday to "The Kid".
You remind me so much of my own dad. You do great things with your family and the videos are great. I watch every video you put out and to be honest I follow your channel more than the actual racing channels lol keep the good work goin. Your family is amazing.
Keep up the good work man. Be thankful you made it and get to spend time with your boys and do more things you enjoy instead of just working your life away. You only get one go round in this world. Sometimes you just got to take a step back and enjoy it.
Stumbled across your videos. Have to say love the fact that your a real guy. I can relate to being a hard working blue collar guy just doing what ever u have to for your family. Keep grinding!!!!
Right on, brother. I'm 47 as well (I say 46 but w/e) and there a Sr., Jr. (Me) and a 3rd (my youngest son) in our family. Keep on keeping on man. You're doing a fantastic job. You have an amazing family. *Happy Holidays!*
Happy thanksgiving to you and your family “Old Man”, lol. I’m about your age as well and occasionally we do feel OLD! And happy bday to Billy!! Hope y’all had an amazing day together. Very awesome you get to take your first winter off due to your new channel. Looking forward to your travels and the interviews to come! Would love to have you down to the 405 to do a little sneak leak into our team, background and why we race. It’s a great story and we love every bit of it. The family, the arguments, the car and the story/memory we are fighting to keep alive with Black Thunder.
Well times are changing.looks to be for the best just go with it keep doing what you're all doing.work as much as possible when weather allows and all this lighter work like your doing it great I learn a lot from you!!!!!!
your like an easy listening radio station man, i like chillin watchin you guys laughin and shit, and the dad shit you pull with Junior, i don't think he liked the Hymer comment on camera, but that just adds to why i like watchin..
I enjoy your videos they r real and raw and u know u aren't putting on a show u r being exactly who u r, this isn't a personality it is a true person talking to u, and I love it

Hey ole man, these fireside chats are so much more important than you know! Having a dad that use to be my buddy and partner in crime just these little talks man to man with the just you and the camera is so nostalgic and brings me back to them days. Please don't ever change and just remember how much people really just enjoy you and your videos just the way you are. Happy holidays from L.A. lol (lower Alabama)👍😂💯

This is probably the only guy I dont mind listening to "just talk". Your doing real good Bill.

Agreeeee. I look forward to watching The Old Man everyday.... Even though I have 7 years on him. Old man....
That Ford Windsor is mine, setting it up for a 1998 Ranger. 408ci twin turbo.

It’s cool to see a fellow Ford fan. The jealousy is strong sometimes.

Shit pops! This here is my favorite damn channel on you tubes...
thankx you ole man...Im a stranger i know but man you're videos help me alot. I dearly miss my kids and these videos keep me pushing to have a better relationship with them...thankx again...
Hey old man keep your chin up ! Your worthy of everything that you have accomplished keep it rolling !!
You deserve everything you get from TH-cam God rewards his people to
I watch you often! I think you’re the type of guy that got me started in racing. It’s not only about building a race car, but the experience and the people. You guys are awesome!
Hey man not telling you how to do ANYTHING....but remember to give yourself some credit you DESERVE IT!!!
Even when it wanders, it's good👍
Im an ex trucker, been in logistics for 30+ years.
The gimble seems to work. Thanks for fixing the overexposure issue.
Thank you sir for taking me with you on your adventures. God Bless you and yours.
I appreciate your humble opinion on things, I was raised with dump trucks and started hot rod and things before had a driver's license ...👍
Thanks for what u do
i love the effort you put in, you're constantly willing to learn and grow. A lot of people lack that as we get older. i appreciate your time
Hey brother I really appreciate how honest you are and how much your family means to you.
And what's the cost of that bud great suggestion though??
That is a BOSS ending LMAO!!!
The new gimbal is super-steady. You'll get used to it soon!
Thanks man.
By far my favorite channel on TH-cam, love the knowledge and the wisdom. God bless
Glad you are getting the chance to work smarter not harder. Embrace and enjoy your new lot in life. Love the down to earth nature of the channel.
You guys have the best reality show on TH-cam...and we even learn useful stuff.

Within 20 minutes I am in the ER having a stroke.Iwas 53 great health.
Love your videos! Gimbal is awesome keep trying old man. you’ve encouraged me to open up the garage and get the 70 split bumper on the road! Thanks
People like watching you and I hope you read this because you are real and you can tell by your attitude the way you speak the way you carry yourself in the way you have taught your boys how to carry their selves very polite manner merry Christmas and I wish you all very well
I get what yr saying about yr life, I quit my job after 20 yrs, labor intensive, asbestos worker, now I'm a custodian at a school
Best family channel on TH-cam. You guys are a blast to watch.
just a FYI i fix those GM clusters,im outside of Columbus in Champaign County.
I’ve got a gmc c1500 with a messed up instrument panel. Do you rebuild all gages?
The gimbal looks smooth just have to get used to it. Happy thanksgiving to your family. Keep it up
Stumbled across your videos.

I enjoy your videos they r real and raw and u know u aren't putting on a show u r being exactly who u r, this isn't a personality it is a true person talking to u, and I love it
Knowledge is power and a smart man will find where he can. You’ve been very useful/helpful dropping that old man knowledge. Thank you brother
The 4 dislikes must be from fuel injected ls owners that got gapped by billy's s10 🤣. Great content ol man. I'm a ford guy but thoroughly enjoy you and billy's videos. Hope you and the family have a great holiday weekend!
