- Turn up the volume for this one! Another live tv studio session with Heath on pipes, Joe on Guitars, Alan on Bouzouki, Lynne on Bodhran, Paul on Bass and me on the drum. Great fun!
For those who've noticed the guitars sound a bit out of tune - you're right. It was a really hot day in the studio and we were struggling to keep anything in tune for more than a minute. We still think this is worth putting on TH-cam. A few years on we have an additional band member and we're a lot better. Come and see us!
Our band is called "Slainte" and we are based in the UK at www.celtmusic.c...
This is the video that made me want to start playing bagpipes...I'm playing for two years now and made it in the pipe band
Wings , minstrel boy , row a tree, farewell to camraw, Caubeen trimmed with blue (first set)
The green glens of Antrim, the star of County Down, the south down militia, last of the great whales, killaloe faugh a ballagh
Sometimes I think this is the best thing on You Tube!
When I'm feeling a tad low - I listen to this really loud. Instantly I feel great!!!
Good to know! Thank you for the idea!
I swear never get bored of listening to this. I come back to it every few weeks and just stick it on again, never fails to cheer me up and get my feet stomping.
I remember watching this years ago. Something made me think about it and it took me an hour to remember the title...... Glad I found it again..... I always feel better when I listen to Bagpipe music..
Amazing ! 6 years that i always come back to see your video. Thanks a lot :-) Hope to see you one day come back to rock the world again with celtic music. You're amazing.
Same here. I can't get enough of it. For me its one of those rare songs that no matter how much I listen to it, I can never get sick of it.
This deserves more views and likes. One of the best bagpipe pieces I've ever listened to. Every musician there is doing their best and adding the exact musical note right in time. It's fun a d perfection in one piece. Encoré!
This is FRICKIN' AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!. I've loved the pipes every since I can remember. Can't stop smiling & tapping my feet. :)
oh jeah! that's it!
No BS, this is the most festive piping piece I have heard. Why can't i hear stuff like this more often. I'm really jealous of the Celts! They get to hear all the cool stuff! Waahahhhahhhahhhhh I wanna cry like a baby. Never mind.
Four words:
You.
Guys.
Are.
Awesome!!
And another five words: To. My. Favs. This. Goes!
That brought tears to my eyes, it was so amazing. I've loved bagpipe music ever since I was little, but this was the first time I've ever heard bagpipes be accompanied by other instruments.
I loved it. I'm so glad I clicked on this link
this peice is truely a work of art kudos to all these musicians
FAR OUT!!! This gets me up and out the door in the morning. Please keep on playing.
it makes you feel like you're living on a different era.
magnificent, just magnificent.
First time listening to this and I’m impressed beyond words!
Wow, this is amazing! The guy on the pipes is a playing machine! This is just great music and I'm very impressed with all of the musicians!
This is great music. It quickens a primal part of me. More, please.
always the gooosebumps won't stop whenever i hear pipes!!! love it love it love it
Fantastic !
I just about got up out of my chair and started dancing !!!!!!
I have been listening to Scottish and Irish music since I was in college.
I got a chance to meet Bonnie Rideout, Maggie Sansone, and Eric Ridler over the years and talk to them. My best buddy of 25 years plays drums with the Washington Scottish Pipe Band in Washington D.C. that George Washington started back in the 1700s. PLAY ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~~~ Chuck S
Its not everywhere that one can hear a fine bagpipe piece, the internet, tis' a wonderful invention. I, a simple man of the Highlands can enjoy the work of my brethren from the loch without a moments hesitation.
I first seen this band playing in the town of Skerries in North Dublin about 20 years ago and often wondered where they went or what happened to them..are they still on the go, they were brilliant back then and still are by the looks of things.
We still are! I remember Skerries very well!
great pipes. makes me feel young again
amazing piper amazing music, now that is what i call music
Been meaning to post this here for a while. Absolutely incredible! I've been watching this video almost daily for a while now.

The moment the music started, I wanted to get up and dance. That is an amazing talent you and the rest of your band have. Keep it up! Let the music shine, and thank you for it.
What a wonderful surprise to find these clips here. This piece is just fabulous. Our family and friends love to see you down at Rosie's, Oxford, it's a guaranteed great night. Such a talented group!
WOW!!!! I have been piping for almost three years and thats absolutely inspirational!!
What is this groups name and above all what is the piper's name? Alot of the mucky-mucks of the piping world could take a lesson on interpreting music and how to make it enjoyable for the listener! A great performance!!!
Great Piping! Love the moment when Heath retunes his Tenor drone while playing at this tempo
That was amazing!!! Had to listen to it on repeat!!
From 1 piper to another...AWESOME:)
So are the rest of the Band:)

Omfg, I absolutely love bagpipes! They are so awesome!
This is brilliant, the bagpipe goes off key a couple times but that's to be expected in a high paced Celtic Ballad like this.
