About 25 years ago my Father, his good friend (a WW2 veteran) and myself attended a model air show at Elvington just outside York in UK. Among the attractions was a 1/4 or 1/3 scale P47 with an enormous engine in it. Now as Arnold was a WW2 vet he'd seen these birds all over the Normandy theatre and told us without a shadow of a doubt it was the closest sounding model of a P47 he'd ever heard. The long low passes with the engine both whining and growling were a real spectacle to behold. I have to admit I never seen a big model look so realistic or sound so menacing in my life. Arnold cried with tears of joy twice that day. First when the real Fokker D7 flew and when that P47 performed his show piece with what I can only say was one of the nicest looking and highest levels of detail I've seen in a model. But what really made it stand head and shoulders above everything else that day was the way he flew it on a very windy August day. It was spectacular, big scale loops and slow rolls almost the entire length of the runway. Props to the pilot that day. As for this wonderful piece of engineering I think you nailed it 😎😎
The company is CARF, but if you had to ask that question, you’re probably not prepared to undertake something like this. Likely well over $10,000 and a couple hundred hours of highly skilled work in this plane.
@@Acemechanicalservices ... Right, I stopped flying about 5 years ago but them I was a great flyer, builder with 10 planes. I still have 5 . The biggest plane I had was 110" Extra DA100 . I always love the Moki 250 engine and they were costly back then also. I have money just don't fly anymore, sorry I ask you.
That SOUND is fantastic!!!

Back in the early '60s my dad bought a Cox Stuka tethered model. Who could have imagined where this would lead with these dedicated genius madmen.
I remember that Stuka, but the clubs were flying models just like this maybe not as sophisticated but with AM radios early 70s
@@gregpadden7029 First rc plane was in the 30's
That's a great looking and awesome sounding model!
Pilot rolls back canopy to have a word or two with the ground crew. He's anxious.
Music to my ears!.....what a fantastic project.....well done....
I just LOVE the sound of a Radial!

A real P-47 in scale….Great work..
Wow...fantastic sound...so realistic!
Sounds so much more realistic than those small engines that sound like a swarm of mosquitoes .
Nothing like a Moki! Fantastic sounding in the air as well. Great detail on the pilot too 👍

That is a beast awsome bit of kit pilot is all fired up too 😮
It is approaching the scaled down version instead of a model. Is it the primate in the cockpit ?
Lots of great details. Very nice.
Old Razor Back! I like it.

Awesome looking bird! Needs a turbocharger to make it correct.
Fantastic model…but the best thing is the fire extinguisher sitting only a few feet away. Safety first ALWAYS. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Looks like 25cc, maybe I am wrong?
🗨️🍄
Sorry, but I don't believe that the sound in the video is actually the engine on the plane.
I own a Moki, believe it. 1:32
Is that G.I. Joe in the cockpit?
How come my bike has 150cc and this has 250cc?💀🙏😅
Not 250 CC engine that... !
Remove before flight. lol
