DESCRIPTION
In this video we will focus on the main features that will come with WordPress 6.2 : improvements to full site editing experience, new options in the block editor, Openverse free images searching engine integrated in core, and a lot more! Let me know what do you think about the future of WordPress and FSE in the comment section below! Personally I miss these features in WordPress core: More "Dynamic Content" options, Responsive editing options !!!, Hover interaction options. And I also think that the Site Editor needs some improvements to be ready to be used from everybody! UPDATE: in the video I am showing an earlier version of the 6.2 Beta and the Navigation item you see in the Site Editor on the left side is no more part of the 6.2 version, maybe they will reintroduce it later on.

Thx. I followed all the steps and now on nightly but timeline 6:05 the reusable icon right side of Media doesn't show. How do I bring in my ready-made templates?
Hi, in order to have that icon you first need to create and publish at least one reusable block.

Can you make different headers for different posts and pages with the site editor?
I tried the site editor in the current version but it seems I can't get anywhere other than the home page. 🤔
Hi, thanks for your comment! Yes, in WordPress 6.2 you can change the header and the footer on specific templates, for example you can have a different header for 404 pages or for single article template, and so on. You can change the header and footer directly in the template you want to customize from the site editor ;)
Oh, and for different header for specific pages or posts I just found out that you'll need to create a new template directly from the page/post backend from the "Template option" in the Summary section on the right. At the moment I don't see another direct and more simple solution, I hope that they will improve the management of pages and posts templates by letting us enabling the site editor when we are on the page/post we want to customize.

I have been learning WordPress for a couple of weeks now and I have to say I find it all overly complicated. Maybe it's great if you like working with pre-made things but all I really want is blank posts and pages that I can design myself. Maybe Webflow would be more suitable for me.
I mean... wouldn't being able to use the site editor on a page or post of choice be the most simple and logical thing ever? It seems like you have to do everything from somewhere else in Wordpress.
On the custom header per page/post. I just had another idea. You could also disable the global header (or only on a specific page if there's an option for that in the theme you're using) and then create a custom header in the post or page itself.
@@wproads I tried your method, and created a header template. But I don't see how I can add that to a specific page or post?
@RA-el6zj sorry if I wasn't clear enough, if you want to crete a custom header for a specific page or post you need to go to that page or post, click on "edit page/post" and from there on the right side panel under the Summary TAB you can click on "template" and select the icon + to add a new template that will be applied to the page/post you are editing.
