I am currently looking for my first job as real time vfx artist and I know thats its a struggle for everyone but in the current situation we can hardly even find interships. So I hope for a change soon otherwise I will need to reconsidered my orientation decisions and good luck to anyone from axis studios🍀.
It should be better! In the US 🇺🇸 I heard that industry is waking up. FX artist is actually a good niche so you should be fine. You can also learn shaders and some technicalities btw. My friend did that and he has plenty of offers.

No. Russia and Putin are to blame for everything (joke) In fact, most outsource studios live on the money that big players pay them. The time of outsourcing should be a thing of the past. It is better to have an indie studio and attract investors and make your own product than to depend on large market players.
@@TPI-du9mnyeap and lately studios under Xbox and sony had to cancel their project…so I guess this impacted outsourcing market. It’s definitely better if you have your own product, then you can make your own decisions.
