To be a little clearer... If the publisher page has: 1978, 1983 and 1987 copyright Printer key says: 109876543 It means you have a 3rd printing of a 1987 edition. (The latest copyright date and lowest printer key number)
Oh this was so interesting! Good to know that the dates aren't always what they seem at first glance. Definitely something to dig into further when looking at vintage decks!
Interesting. Are you fairly certain the brown box is the original Morgan Greer? I've come across that and others rumored to be first editions. Nice video. Thank you.
@chopsticktarot The Morgan Greer is difficult. A lot of the info I found said the brown box but it's still not 100%. It's thought brown 1st edition, darker turquoise 2nd, brighter turquoise 3rd, teal 3rd and cobalt 3rd. I have never seen any other in person besides mine so I have no comparison.
@lunacat3 ya I realized after that i could have been a little bit clearer, so it's pinned in comments and in the description box for everyone. Thanks for watching ♡

Ok now I need to go dig out my vintage (?) Thoth decks and check their numbers!
@@sincerelyshannadee I spent an afternoon doing the same thing. 😂

Thank you for this! I don't have any vintage decks but I plan on it eventually.
Thanks for showing this

Thank you for posting this! I had no idea there were ways to date decks other than copyright date.
@@Frakkyfire thank you for watching! : )
