My grandfather is from Guyana, my father and myself was born in America, my dad don't know about Guyana, and I've never visit the country IT would be easy for me to visit and go to some places because I'm in a POWERCHAIR (power wheelchair) but vutural view like THIS MY grandfather left my DAD and his siblings and MOM WHEN HE dad was in the second grade, he went back to mahica marcones dad NEVER SAW him AGAIN.So MY father's background is Guyana , mahicka marconeze( can't spell it)

The beauty of Guyana can never be told enough, especially of its natural ecosystems! The world should be informed or reminded that apart from its natural beauty the Kaieteur falls has the highest single drop in the world! Excellent job Alison! (Guyana and CTEA rock!!)

I like your video, I should have did a video last month too, was my first time going to guyana
Now i'm very dissappointed i didn't see the falls last year. I went to Surinam. But for a weekend i took a tour to Guyana. But unfortunaly couldn't we go to the falls. When i see this part in your video i am very dissappointed. I think in real life it was more amazing then see it from ya video.
Maybe next time when i visit Surinam again.

This is a trip I have to do too! I think I was like 3 years old when I last went and all I remember are the kakabelly fish lol... Did you find it to be a pricey trip overall? I'd be going out of Vancouver... "he's a puppy yuh know, he small but he big" such a Guyanese thing to say by the way lol!

You should point out that the fort you visited isn't just "old" it was built before the American war of independence. The fort was built in 1742. Kyk-Over-Al (another dutch fort on the same river as this one) was built in 1616 (which is among the oldest European ruins in the Americas).

Glad you visited our country i lived in guyana all my life but now in the united states it sucks here the school the children are not very obedient oh well high school is so easy here + yuh nah get none licks haha lol just loving it but still miss my country.

Las cataratas Kaieteur, la cual esta ubicada en territorio de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela por ser parte de la Guayana Esequiba. Dicho territorio conformo la Antigua Capitanía General de Venezuela, luego la Gran Colombia y fue Independizada por Simón Bolívar. Kaieteur Falls, which is located in the territory of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for being part of Guyana Essequibo. Antigua that territory settle the Captaincy General of Venezuela, then the Gran Colombia and was made independent by Simon Bolivar.

It would have been nice to give a historical perspective to the dutch fort. This would have added sooo much value to the picture..
