The golden era of Dhafer Youssef! Mark, Chris and Tigran truly took the music to a spiritual plane of existence. Our biggest inspiration!
Yes, indeed this is the best of Dhafer
52:37 Best piano solo ever
Dhafer Youssef always picks great drummers but Mark Guiliana is out of this world good. I think his structural choices in his solos are the only ones that match Dhafer Youssef's rhythmic sophistication.
Right on the spot
Tigran, you are a world treasure!
What a wonderful art being done, anybody who watch this is privileged. Blessings to the musicians and staff and everyone involved. This is pure inspiration at its best
Such talent and professionalism. Such an awesome collaboration. WOW, what a concert!!
Best performance ever! inspiring from the mystic soufi music with a great touch of Jazz! Thank you for sharing
I’m so glad I found this concert! A real treat
Тигран сделал всё классически и облагородил весь концерт.
The greatest singer in the world ♥️🌎🙏🏿♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
What a bassist! Not to talk about the drummer my friend!
Cuarteto impresionante!!
Of course it’s Mark on the drums. He’s so calm as he orchestrated the most sophisticated moves. A true master.
This is true for all of them of course, I just play the drums so I’m a little more familiar there.
Love from India!

Բրավոոոոոոոոո❤️❤️❤️❤️👏
I've been losing my mind for some time but that darkly sunny music, among many others, helps me to float, to keep my head above water💥
So happy to have found this video since I saw them playing live some years back.just great
TH-cam nailed it on the recommends today ❤️
Tigran!!!
Not a word about this pianist. G.
Thank you, such a beautiful music!
It's crazy to see this concert as I know the Jazz sous les Pommiers version by heart. In this one they are still learning how to cooperate and read each other.
Tolle Musik und Musiker mit einer so warmen Ausstrahlung. Bin ganz hin und weg und glaube an das gutei
Listening again. Makes me so happy - again. This is so F great.
Odd Elegy is in a 39/16 mixed metre
First time around (21:28) it goes 2x 4/4 + 7/16. Then for the soloists (22:08), they play over 3x 7/16 + 2x 9/16. Both add up to 39/16.
Wow, how can you even count this stuff!
Absolutely amazing music in every way!
@@richcaloggero3424 Good question:
1. Identify the start of the loop or 'beat one'.
2. Identify the _primary subdivision_ of the pulse e.g. sixteenth notes.
3. Count the individual accent groups from start to finish e.g. 4, 3, 4, 3, 4, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (accent groups for "Odd Elegy"). A rhythm solfège like takadimi can help with this.
4. Add them together to find the _total beat count_ e.g. 39 sixteenth notes.
5. Write the time signature with the _total beat count_ on the top and the _primary subdivision_ on the bottom e.g. 39/16.
6. Consider the legibility of said time signature on sheet music. If it's too long to realistically read, move on to step 7.
7. Turn each repeating accent group or set of accent groups into their own mini time signatures e.g. 4, 3 becomes 7/16 and 3, 3, 3 becomes 9/16.
8. Touch grass, idk what that is though.
Excellent ❤
Wonderful❤
