FYI, from what I have read, as of January 2023, the Chat feature is free of charge rather than the 1.99 per day. Our cruise is next month so I have not verified it myself. But I have read it on many sites on the internet including the Royal Caribbean website.

Can you use the RC app during the cruise (while on board) if you do not purchase the VOOM package? Where did you purchase the chat feature?

Hi! This was helpful! Will there be any notifications popping up on the phone when we receive a message via the chat? Or we have to open up the app the actually check if there are any new messages?

@@i2ceventsandtravel22no there will be no notifications when using the RC app for messaging if you do not have the internet package.
You have to manually open the app and check your messages to see if you have any messages.
I’m not sure if you get notifications if you do have the internet package, but I know for a fact that you do NOT get notifications if you do not have the internet packaagezz

How timely were chat messages delivered/received? I had heard that there were delays and people weren’t getting messages for sometimes hours after they were sent. That would really defeat the purpose if you’re trying to find each other or meet up for lunch. Can you please advise if you experienced any delays? Thanks
