Lived there in Gainesville Florida till 2019 returning home to Puerto Rico after retiring from the VA. Have no complaints I would say Gainesville, Ocala, & Tampa was the best for me in that State oh and I can't forget Cedar Key of course ☺️☝🏾

Great videos! New subscriber! The gray building behind the clock tower is actually the City of Gainesville office building. There are two courthouses. The civil courthouse is the tan building east of the Bo Diddley Plaza amphitheater. The criminal courthouse is on Main St, across from the Hyatt. The old courthouse the clock tower references was also off of Main St and SE 1st Ave, before it was torn down and rebuilt into what is now the Alachua County Administration Building (corner of Main St and University Ave).
Hey there! I hear you! Downtown Gainesville does have a lot of restaurants, but if you explore a bit deeper, you'll find some charming boutique shops tucked away on side streets. Keep exploring, and you might discover some hidden gems!

You need to cover the TAX issue here in the area. Reality IT sucks here.

Thanks for correcting me on the clock and courthouses
Trying to get a feel for little shops in Downtown Gainesville, but it appears to be mostly restaurants.
