We need Nio in Singapore with Battery As service in all petrol kios. They have self driving and AI.

I really like the concept of made to order EV factories largely staffed by robots spread across the planet... It solves many problems all in one, including the labor shortage and makes sure there's huge leftover inventory of unsold cars that tend to be crushed and scrapped rather than sold which is entirely wasteful...

Enough Solar, Wind, and renewable energies will make Singapore independent of the ever-increasing price of Oil, gas, and fossil fuels and make electricity cheap for the masses.(renewables LCOE and EVs are getting cheaper every day due to technological advances). Also, we don't need to rely on expensive oil for cars ... No need to be manipulated by the international markets for oil and gas.. If the government is serious enough..we can be energy independent very quickly if we scrap the COE and the 300% tax for EVs to replace all the existing oil-guzzling ICE cars ..After that we can reintroduce the hefty taxes and other controls to limit its numbers to control traffic jams, etc. The environment will also improve tremendously due to the removal of toxins in the air.

That won't happen until some local civil servant is the one who benefits. SG doesn't allow fair competition, the only profitable businesses in SG are statutory boards and the only shareholder is Temasek. It's anticompetitive and racist.

The charging time fo r EV car is still taking too long and inconvenient. Hope this issue can be solved.

Competitive in labour cost? In rent? In logistics cost? In currency?
Hyundai prices are very high honestly compare to Tesla or BYD.

SG Inc doesn't want fair competition, they only want to be sure they control all the cash flows for their local regulatory boards and to benefit.

It will fail. There are only 2 real players in EV, China and Tesla. The rest is not significant and doesnt matter much in the EV development.

    Interesting. Mass customising system.
    "Cell Assembly" system.
Multi capability robots at single site positioning & Component material handling is one solution needs.
We will need component making capacity and "Supply chain management". This is rather difficult. BeV has lesser components, makes it easier.
    30,000 units a year
Rather small. $1.5 billion revenue. $50,000 a unit. Hyundai Badge 😅

Good case study on mass customisation assembly. Efficiency questionable.
Or it is just a "option laden" vehicle assembly, NOT A REAL MASS CUSTOMISED system since "Road mobility vehicles" needs REGULATION & QUALITY standards compliance.
It is probably a 1. Parts warehouse. 2. Cell assembly position, 3. Automated Material handling system, 4. Finishing system.
"Lego like" on a range of permutation with approval from MoT regulators. Overhead testing cost can be high.
Good case study, especially as it is TOUTED to be the first.
