Shorts still work really great for me on my second channel. I mean, I am just small content creator and I work really hard (I also use a little bit of fame- ster, but that's a necessity nowadays). I just give all my videos small initial boost, and that caused them to spread literally everywhere, bringing more and more organic views day after day.
The RPM for my Shorts has been improving consistently every month, and I anticipate further growth over time. Last year, my RPM was $0.01 and began to rise steadily each month. Currently, my channel maintains an average RPM of $0.09, with many of my shorts reaching an RPM of $0.10-0.15.
The problem will be that those will either be dead subs and end up harming your channel in the long run, or those subs will have only 30 second attention spans and not watch your longform content

I wish there was a way to monitor how many people watched the shorts video but then that led them to your channel to watch your other videos and how many videos they did end up watching. This would really tell you how valuable your shorts videos really are when it comes to discoverability of your channel and the impact it has on your other videos.

I’ve been posting consistently for this month of Jan .. every single day (sometimes twice a day) since around Jan 11 and I’ve gained 133 subscribers for shorts. I’m enjoying just doing the shorts rn bc I’m able to be consistent in that. Plus it’s helping me to grow my page. I know how to edit long videos but I wasn’t consistent in that. I think shorts are great for getting your page out there and for me I’d be grateful for making anything from TH-cam especially from shorts bc I know they don’t pay THAT much but it’ll make me happy when I’m finally monetized and getting something bc I know I’ll be making money from finally being consistent in my channel
One of my shorts is approaching 2.5 million views, and analytics is estimating revenue so far at $305. Why do they pay you and seemingly a lot of other content creator channels so much less per million views
I recently started putting up shorts about my current builds cause I’m way behind where I actually am in video editing. Since I started doing it doubled my subs each 28 days atm and almost doubled my moneys too. I’m so glad I started stay more current with my shorts. It is drastically helping my long form out.
I might be wrong, but iirc the requirements to get the YT partnership are way easier now (iirc it is 500 subs, 3 videos posted, AND either 3K hours of long-form in a year or 3m Shorts views in the last 90 days). But it's still a great video full of valuable information, so I'm grateful for that! Keep it up!

that's the first line of monetization which is not ad revenue. at 500 subs and 3k watch time, you can connect a merchandise store for your channel, run memberships and receive super thanks tokens from your subs .. The ad revenue still remains same requirements
I like doing shorts! I have a lot of video shorts and I've got longer content too, and now I've been able to go live! I'm having fun with what I'm doing and growing my subscribers every day. Most of my videos were for my mom when she was sick and couldn't visit her garden. Her garden will live on forever. .

Shorts are very worth it. I started shorts and with a few videos I got 15 followers in about one hour. Plus I can add a link on the shorts of another video.
No, it will actually slow your long form content down. People that view shorts do just that. They want the quick and dirty and it's on to the next shorts video. Shorts are great to acquire new subscribers but not for long form content. I would suggest channel for shorts and a channel for you long form content. I would not recommend trying to combine the two. Shorts really damaged my channel, but this was my experience. I have seen and heard other content creators say the same thing about shorts causing their long form content to take a hit. Shorts also peak initially at upload then flatline because You Tube it appears to not recirculate it back into the algorithm.

One long form video typically takes a week to make. You can make 10 or even more shorts in that time. Its unfair to solely compare them on the basis of views. Didn't expect this from Tubebuddy. .

Shorts is a format that should be used for discoverability ONLY. In terms of revenue, it generates very very less. I was paid $0.08 for 1000 views

I think this only unlocks some of the options, to get paid you still need 1000 subs and 10M short views or 4000h watch time
Hes talking about AdSense. AdSense is only 4000 hrs of WT and 1000 subs or 4M v for shorts. 500 subs/3000 hrs of WT is only for memberships and supers

I think you shouldn't concentrate on making money using short. But instead use shorts as a shortcut to grow your channel with long form videos.
