I grew up 30 minutes from Malibu. One of my favorite childhood memories was counting Porsche 911s on the PCH :-)

That’s hilarious I get stuck at the aledo train all the time😂 good to see some 911’s are local here.

Small world. Plenty of Porsches in DFW.

Really enjoyed this!! Ok you gotta level with me. Is Highway 1 on the Pacific coast good? I have long-term plans to ship my 911 out there to drive it, and as a middle class guy, it's gonna cost me a fortune haha!! So you gotta tell me if it lives up to the hype?? I drive the Smoky Mountains a couple times a year and they're AMAZING!! So the Pacific coast has a lot to live up to in my mind. Thanks!

It was a bucket list trip for me. Although it may be over hyped slightly it is definitely worth doing. The roads in the Smokey mountains are better but much more to see on PCH.

PCH is incredible but don’t expect to be able to carve at it will, you’ll have plenty of chances to do so, but lots of people are on that road in trailers, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, etc… so you will be enjoying most of it going 40mph. It’s still worth all the effort and cost to experience it.

Awesome trip. I'm contemplating on driving across country (again) from the East to the West Coast and back, but this time with my 911S. Can you tell me how many miles did your car have before the start of the trip? I know that Porsche no longer carries a spare tire so were you worried or were you comfortable with using the slime for flats? Did you change oil on your return trip back? How was the mpg? oh last question, manual or auto?
