Thank you brother for talking about these important topics. Please don’t let anyone discourage you. Building infrastructures especially good roads networks are essential for a country economy growth.

You make perfect sense brother. You have just displayed the importance of common sense that is not so common. Great work!

Sometimes you should not limit your perspective. This bridge can free up Freetown and allow more investment in lungi as well as in Freetown. Companies can build factories in lungi and supply Freetown. Housing can be more affordable, due to the cheap land price in lungi. There will be less traffic and pollution in Freetown. In addition people will feel safer travelling to Sierra Leone, since won’t have to risk their lives commuting from the airport.

I think building the Lungi bridge is a very good idea, but it not necessary to build that bridge at the moment, the reasons why we do not need that bridge are
1: it too expensive for just a single project,
2: the return on investment will take forever ETC.
Now let me explain. The funds to construct the bridge is a loan that should be paid back and for how long will that debt take to be fully paid when there is very little economic activity in the part of the country, the main reason to build the is because of our international airport. At the moment we having a maximum of 3 flights a day which may have maximum 100 passengers per flight, It is not economically variable and if the cons out weigh the pros it makes no business sense and who wants to invest their money on something is not profitable.
But if we use that same amount of money to embark on a massive road infrastructure in the capital, building highways like three more of Masiaka highway, with more wider roads in the newly built communities in Freetown, well that has a huge potential for economic growth.
I want to assume you do not live in the country if so when last was your last visit? Let me tell you Waterloo is now bigger than central Freetown as it used to be 20 yrs ago. if there is a proper planning in the new areas with good roads central Freetown will automatically decongest.
Mr Foday I really appreciate your contribution by watching and commenting on my channel, I want to encourage you to always feel free to say whatever you want to say, lets exchange ideas there're many things I can learn from you.
      Thank you!

My brother i disagree with you if not now when? In 2 to 3 years how much the lungi bridge will cost us bro. Let's do it now. If the lungi bridge was built 20 years ago how much it costs. We have to do now bro or we pay double the price in future. Everything is getting expensive. Thanks

      @@soriegassamasoriegassama2057 you don’t need a bridge my brother … what’s the return on investment…
By building new roads to interconnect the rest of the country will allow goods and services to move easily thus improving the economic environment of our people
…,cost is always going to be there…but invest where you can achieve the fastest growth

Yes we need new airport but ask yourself how many planes arrive every day. Ask yourself why are tickets so expensive to visit Sierra Leone. Why is landing fee so expensive. I think electricity, water supply and good health services for now is what we need. Furthermore Sierra Leoneans has to charge their mindset.
I think the government are not getting their priority right.

Thanks very much for this important analyses of the roads infrastructure across our continent ,in which our own country Sierra Leone is far lacking behind,..we really really to revamp the construction of beautiful roads within the country,...but again you said the building of bridges is not important at the moment ,in my opinion you can not construct a linking roads without building bridges,..it is absolutely not too safe to drive on a beautiful road all the from Freetown heading to makeni or so and get stuck at a death trap old one way bridge at Rogbere,..i think both has to go simultaneously.

The lungi bridge is also part of the road network you are asking for. The bridge will help to eradicate the deplorable living condition in the coastal area in Freetown. People should start thinking into the future. Any airport out of Lungi will render that part of the country dormant.

Serra Leone has a lot of potentials to develop far ahead of Ivory coast or Ghana because they shared border with African biggest economy Nigeria with massive resources but corruption neptomism greedness and political violence makes Serra Leone unrecognized County in Africa Hopefully one day you guys shall rise and leave your dream.

    • @rioxdex4381
      @rioxdex4381 ปีที่แล้ว

Sierra Leone and Nigeria do not border each other. Are you okay? Sierra Leone is a recognized country in Africa. We are amongst the top 5 most peaceful countries in Africa. The western world doesn’t care about peaceful African countries that aren’t going to bend over. It wasn’t yesterday that American, Asians, Arabs, other Africans, and Europeans started going to Sierra Leone. However, Sierra Leoneans don’t want to be known at the cost of allowing rubbish in our country. If we allowed USA to build an Army base in our country as Ghana did, we would be known, but everyone knows USA hasn’t done anything right in all other countries it’s been in, so no thanks. Ivory Coast has potential too but is only known for paying colonial taxes to France up till now. Nigeria is known for Boko haram terrorism, the shenanigans they cause in other countries, and the scam emails they send worldwide. But in reality, it’s not about being known, it’s about working with your own people to build for yourself, at your pace whilst upholding your country’s values, because nobody is Sierra Leone’s yardstick. We focus on ourselves. Everybody should face their front.
