Yes many scenes from 'The lord of the Rings' series and 'The Hobbit' :)
Most people told me that this tour is overpriced.
BTW. Like you stated provide more historical information.
Personally. I think it is well priced. The guides are fantastic. We were there for about 3 hours total. Also you get the free drink as well as a mug (from the pub in the movie)
I think it's definitely worth doing once :)

I have just started watching LoR a month ago for first time.
Probably, I need watch movie completely before visiting this place.
Just remember, Campermate navigated me to some LoR place.
I was walking in the forest till track ends and returned back.
However, I was not sure if I have seen LoR place or not because I did not watch LoR.
So, there were 2 issues - 1. I did not know the location and 2. I did not know what I am looking for! :)))
