Hikaru couldn’t find a better way to suggest tips to Levy? saying “you just have to go after them [the GMs]” is easy to say for a person who became a grandmaster at age 15
At some point Levy is gonna face a choice between commiting to being a GM and continuing a nice career out of being a really good (by normal human standards exceptional) player who makes great content. Levy's hinted that he's at that crossroads just now. If he wants to commit the time to pursuing GM he'd need to sacrifice the well spent time he spends streaming and making content. If you don't think he can make GM, you're potentially doing him a favour by being honest about that. Equally, if Levy is financially secure and is happy to forego the money he can make streaming to pursue the dream of being a GM, good luck to him.
Honesty is the best policy comment section. Levy knows now that he can trust hikaru to be honest, if not brutally so. That’s worth something. Y’all acting like you forgot.

6:00 that can be overcome with experience. Why do you feel the need to put Levi down? Maybe he can’t become a GM but he’s your friend so why go and openly bash him.
100% agreed with Hikaru. Tough love. No participation trophies. Levi indeed has great potential but must first aim higher, not just do enough to settle for a draw.
The reason you can't become good at chess later in life is because neuroplasticity sharply declines as you age. That is especially important in chess which is rich in pattern recognition and instinctual thinking.

@@itsdifficulttocreateaperfe9850 So, Like I said then.
Thought he fought very well for a approx 1000 rated player.
@@brettjames9088 I meant it wasn't just slightly worse, but yeah he played ok for 1000,especially in bullet
You don't have to become a GM to enjoy chess, or be good even. It's like you can play football without going for being in the champions league.
What is your intro song called I can't find it anywhere I really want it
Why aren’t these 900 rated players blundering like this when they’re playing against me?
they are
Because you dont play the most critical moves, so it's much easier for them to not blunder
Lol what? Some of these 900s are playing really well ─ the 900s that you are playing probably blunder a LOT more than the 900s in the video.
@@maxkho00 No 900s blunder the same amount because they are 900 lol.
They do - you just don't take their pieces.
That poor poor last guy, thinking he was smart trading down to a king and pawn end game having no idea what’s about to happen to him.
Big dog has to eat lol
I need these to be at least 40 min long please D:
Даже без перевода смотрю с большим удовольствием! Спасибо!
What's the name of the song used in the intro?
Can anyone link me to danya’s comments on levy being a gm?
Best intro on TH-cam
Anyone knows playlist in the video?
in other words, he is foreshadowing that magnus still gonna be world champion ( until he beat him? )
Where is only tricks speed run? Finish it please
Change the narrative slightly. Hikaru - Do you *want* Levy to work through those gaps and become a GM?
that was fast wtf in a good way of course
Crazy captions 🔥
Honesty is the best policy comment section. Levy knows now that he can trust hikaru to be honest, if not brutally so. That’s worth something. Y’all acting like you forgot.
If hikky talked about my play style that way I would cry 😢
that 5:15 CM.... damn
This intro slaps hard. It has been stuck in my head for days now
O.T.T. by Ruzer if anyone is wondering
thanks I was
someone pls tell me the bgm name i've been trying to find it for days
Logically you won't take obvious openings
its enough for hikaru to say it once and move on, otherwise it just sounds rude. when was the last time you heard magnus going on a 1 hour tirade about how his friends arent good enough?
Agreed
Except people are asking Hikaru in chat and what high profile friends of Magnus are attemping to become GM publicly?
What opening is that? It looks like a reverse london system.
vienna
The thing with chess and learning it at a young age, its the same with langages for example. Toddlers will learn a langage soo fast if they are in a foreign country. So chess is the same. Chess is very close to a langage actually
In the fact that it isnt
Lol Hikaru thinks he can't be world champion. He's literally a God.
12:20 hikaru missing that 2 different pieces were hanging
Name of intro song?
i love the intro, they're always amazing.
Hikaru is right. Magnus would defend his title. Tbh, seems like only Firouzja can take the title from Magnus, but that's too not happening anytime soon😈. MAGNUS 🐐.
There is a much higher chance of Levy becoming a GM than Hikaru being World Champion lmao
Can’t express how much I love that intro
you say levy cant be a gm bc of a wrong attitude but the wrong attitude can change right?
I really hope you are wrong, i like levy but you are more knowlagble than 99.9999% of people in chess so you would know better, i just hope you are wrong
how can ppl hate hikaru i will keep sticking up for him and i will say he doesn’t have a big ego he has performed countless time and he has a great comedic personality while being a super gm and it’s cool to watch
He 100% has a huge ego, are you blind? Yeah he can be funny but there is no doubt he has a lot of serious character flaws.
@@JohnDoe-zh6cpi’m not blind but what i’m saying is that hikaru deserves to have this ego because he worked for it for a long time
Even I, an unrated noob, thought that the way Levy describes his thought processes in tournament games sounds like he is playing super defensively to survive the game regardless of the rating of his opponent.
13.42 why he didnt move thé queen
6:00 that can be overcome with experience. Why do you feel the need to put Levi down? Maybe he can’t become a GM but he’s your friend so why go and openly bash him.
que buena intro la ptmr
Did Hikaru and Levy break up? He seems to be overly mean about him lately.
Hikaru San!!!
We literally don't care.
Jeez the number of ads on this video. Couldnt enjoy it. Usually a big fan of your videos but youtube has it dropping an ad every 60 seconds.
100% agreed with Hikaru. Tough love. No participation trophies. Levi indeed has great potential but must first aim higher, not just do enough to settle for a draw.
big plays
Epic queen sac ending up on mate: (you play white)1.e4 - e5 2.Nf3 - Nc6 3.Nc3 - d6 4.Bc4 - Bg5 5.Nxe5 - Bxe1 6.Bxf7 - Ke6 7.Nd5#
Legals mate :) (I think, I’m not the best with annotations without a board)
Big fan sir
The reason you can't become good at chess later in life is because neuroplasticity sharply declines as you age. That is especially important in chess which is rich in pattern recognition and instinctual thinking.
Sure you can become good at chess as an adult. But you cannot become exceptionally brilliant, which is what GMs really are in this game.
The greed in his voice is palpable when he says he’s absolutely not giving up streaming
Well they basically asked if he'd give up his dream job
Nice
nice
Did Hikaru and Levy have a falling out? While its entirely true that Levy wont get GM it seems like hes really hammering that fact and just doesnt even try to sugarcoat it…
